Glad I checked in. ... It's rather masterful what you've managed to pull off.
I now think I know why we are seeing you back,...?...and thanks.
I was just checking the post ranks :geek: earlier to see if it was time for an update soon and was shocked  to see a switch between yours and my pictures on the list. Noticing it was only a half dozen posts ago,... hmmm :?: Made me think about the why you were back just recently in the last week or two. It hit me,... you just couldn't stand seeing me pass you in those 'post' rankings, could you? :ugeek:   jk
Just glad you are back in any amount. :)
Later... ;)

Glad I check in. I'll be using this technique when I get to painting them. It's rather masterful what you've managed to pull off.
Thank you. I think that getting to do these alternate paint schemes is really helping me stay sane. I love painting and I haven't felt like I could take the time to do it. This is giving me a solid excuse to do something I want to do anyway and I don't feel guilty for doing it because it's not just for my own collection.

A very nice tutorial. I did not realize it was so close to the marble technique.
I simplified it a bit from my original attempt but you can't really tell the difference between them. I'm trying to make it as easy to do as possible, so that folks won't be too intimidated to try.

Nice step by step. Now to figure out if I want to begin that on some of the temple or not...

sounds like its going to be shoe polish free, you finally kicked that habit? ;)
How's the shoulder these days? hoping its had a chance to recover post KS
You do realize that I only used shoe polish in 1 video, right? A better question would be, so, your still addicted to painting wet on wet painting techniques? Since this will be the 3rd using it. :P

My shoulder is slowly getting some mobility back. I can almost get my elbow level with my shoulder when my are is bent and I can finally get items out of my back pocket with that hand. I've got to be ready for sculpting KS7 very, very soon, so I'm doing a lot of stretches. Thank you for asking.
Yeah its perhaps us that has the addiction .......... more a fixation .......
Good to hear your on the mend :)
