Closed captioned would be helpful for some of us who spent too much time around machinery, concerts and jets.

I could see that paint scheme mixed into a few different builds, like somewhat mid-east or even in conjunction with the older resin RotA line. Very cool colors.
I ordered so little, my paint will try to match KS-1 colors.
Thanks for posting.

Looks pretty good to me. I am laos thinking of what my colors will be but not to the testing stage yet.

Let me start by saying that the photo doesn't do the paint scheme justice. No matter how I fiddled with the image, it never came out as rich as the actual pieces. This is definitely the scheme I'm using for my unpainted DoD when it arrives. A base color and 2 accent colors followed by brown shoe polish (painted on then immediately wiped off) and a light dry brush of Stucco. (changed from the color card because stone edge is too cold) I've done a video, it just need editing... and probably a mute button.

Can anyone confirm the new factory paint scheme looks to be:
  • Base Gray
  • Olive Dry Brush
  • Lava Red (pillars)
  • Cardboard (or Earth Stone) (a few stones)
  • Base Gray + Black (arch)
  • Stone Edge Dry Brush (over all)
LadySabelle - I like your grayer version with Cardboard pillars, but perhaps would keep the darker ("basalt") arches... Your last alternate and your Temple sandstone are also intriguing. If I had enough time and money to buy and paint two sets...

How likely are we to get a painting guide for KSV? (I apologize if I am repeating a question that has already been addressed.)
I would say "extremely likely". The painting guides for KS4 appeared just as people were first receiving their order fulfilment.

@iceycat This video on marble might prove helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CbGQSP ... Y&index=90

There's a whole video series this guy does on "Hobby Cheating". Although I have not tried the marbling technique myself, it doesn't look like it would be too hard. This is just one resource I have come across. I'm always interested to see different approaches to get the same effect (i.e. I would love to know how DF goes about achieving their marble effect). After all, (forgive the pun), there's more than one way to skin a cat.

I would love it Michelle if you did a youtube video for your painting guide instead of a text description if it's at all possible. I always find the visual example to be so much easier to follow as I'm a visual learner. I specifically decided to make my pledge for the Shrine of Sysuul unpainted and non jade 80% because of the awesome ancient temple alternate paint job you showed off. I'd also love it if you could demonstrate the marble alternate paint job they did as well.
