New video on the terrain trays: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ggO9AdU ... e=youtu.be

EDIT: Whoops, this link was shared elsewhere in the forum already. Sorry!
This is actually a video on the Elevation Platform, not the Terrain Trays.

The Elevation Platform is the “dungeon box” that gives you 12”x12” elevation at either elevation block height (without the lid) or full floor-and-wall height (with the lid) and also doubles as a storage option.

The Terrain Trays, conversely, are the flat, double-sided, metallic trays with a variety of prints used primarily for negative-space builds (a la Acid Bath and Lava Bridge) or for “floating” pre-built rooms to your gaming table.

Still, a cool video. But not really one pertaining to this thread’s particular topic.

Interesting that they are trays only as opposed to Terrain Trays that DF have created.

we have no interest in trays but Negative space Terrain floats our carrots.

And DF have combined the two with a magnetic terrain option to boot!

Another example of DF creativity going beyond trend/curve/event horizon.

These are the Italian guys who make the mines too. Might be fun to compare when each of the products came out with when Trog comments here reached a critical mass of suggestions on mines, mine RR, terrain trays etec...he is clearly marketing to DwF buyers.

If I remember correctly, that company is the first I saw with magnetic pieces; I think someone had them on the side of a fridge or something to show how strong the magnets were. Quite possibly is the inspiration for DF's change to magnets as well.

Was looking through another threads link and found these. Not that I know anything about them though, I really don't have a need for these trays. https://www.miniworlds-store.com/minidu ... lliche.php

Concur, with that little space even a few larger plates would be out of place...but you could use 12" wood plates!

I'm a gadget guy. The Terrain plates appealed to me but I restrained myself on the basis I could buy more bling if I did. I get the attraction!

That said, I think that position is justified by already having quite a bit of Dwarven Forge. I wouldn't go this route as a first-round item to have.
