Cant believe we missed the pictures of the Celestial Hurricanum - love that model - Nice paint job on the Orrery. Really adds to the whole Mystical library theme

Its the second we have seen on the Forums - Feymous had one in one of her fabulous builds.
Really should build ours.

You could even reveal a whole new floor under the surface... never thought of this... awesome :D

Thanks, guys!

These recents builds have taken about 3-4 hours total for build and photography time. Probably took about only an hour or so to actually build the thing. Then just spent a ton of time taking photos and uploading them.

I might perhaps add some golems to defend the sanctity of my crypt ;)
Did someone mention Golems ?
Have we told you how many Golems you get in the Gorgon Tiers encounter ? have we ?

Btw seriously impressed with that sunken library.

Argh - jealous of your talent and builds!

Life has been crazy and busy, haven't even opened my last box (Lever Room got the "saving the best for last" award). I play for an hour or two before bed.

I am curious as to how long each of these builds takes you?

Love this one - when i design my dwarvenite funeral crypt, i want to be interred above a perilous pool of acid with a repository of my treasures hidden behind. I might perhaps add some golems to defend the sanctity of my crypt ;)

I really like using the acid hazard for raw sewage - it's brilliant.

Nice! I like that one.

As for the size of Thomarillion -- I agree, it can be tricky to work with them, since they rise above DF walls. I paint the tops of the backs black so they don't stand out too much.

But one thing that's perfect about their height -- if you stack a floor (or a wall with a floor) on top of a regular DF piece, the floor will line up exactly with the height of a Thomarillion shelf. These pics are from the DF resin Medieval Building Set -- the floors on the MBS look fantastic, IMO, stacked on top of resin dungeon pieces with Thomarillion bookshelves next to them. It makes a near seamless blend, and you can create cool effects like this sunken astrological library.

I randomly mention that the Zealot library bookshelf (sadly out of stock and I only got one myself, curses; I wish I had gotten ten) is fantastic and is flush with the top of DF walls and towers:

The other Zealot solo bookshelf you can see in the above link is much higher. I got the Thomarillion and Tiny Furniture pieces but they're so big that I've been a bit unenthused about painting them; these photos may have converted me though. :)

Love the draining of the acid effect - very nice - clever.

But DAMN that acid terrain tray looks stunning in that layout.
Those close ups make it look so detailed and almost textured.

Great job again Law :)
