Puzzle Floors -- And where is puzzle tile key on DwF website

Post by GODofwar » Sun Jan 06, 2019 3:08 pm

As always, the Trogs come through. Nice Xmas present. I was trying to figure out how to do this...the ideal solution is lots more tiles, and I would buy enough to have one complete set of every tile type ready.

But putting some in the BOTTOM underneath the tile is genius.

Does the tile still fit without sticking up?

And how do I decide which set to put underneat....

Dammit, I may end up buying more puzzle kits. RRRRR.

Does anyone know where the DwF website has a list of the 'meaning' of all the puzzle tile symbols? The set says they do, but no link.

I wish the tiles were metal. There's a room in the Pathfinder Beginner Box Bash that has symbols on the floor. When the PC steps on the tile once it lights up (pull tile and flip it). When the step on the tile a second time it falls apart (remove tile). If the tiles were metal, I could you the handy magnet to remove them.

Yup, when is and if I use them, I expect them to mainly be for decoration. Perhaps with a trap door or compartment being located under a specific icon/symbol. Puzzle solving on the fly like that can be frustrating to players who are not inclined along those lines. On the other hand, a one-shot room with lots of puzzles might be cool to try.

I've stuck every sticker to a tile (most homemade) and have yet to use any! That makes me very sad and I have to find a way to us some very quickly as I love them! The problem is that these "sticker rooms" seem very 1-of-a-kind and once used it would get repetitive with players! I still love them!
Use them in lots of builds just as floor decoration. Then use them as traps that cover the whole floor, wall to wall and see if the party starts to walk across them.

I'm using the ol' InstantMold+GreenStuff approach to make new floors. That way, I can (insanely) have all 504 sticker options available... even if I'm only going to use about 20 of them ever.

I missed the string on putting the stickers in the holes to affix them. I think I have the idea down but can someone direct me to that string?
