There won't be many, many 30 or so....no seated figs, sorry...we only got like 3 requests, so even though I wanted to, I appear to be the only one who championed them. Sigh. we move on...the figs we ARE doing are all fantastic. Every single one. They will also pertain to the world of Mythras and City of Valoria for those who will care, but can also be used in another setting/world as well...
Seated mini requests (there are multiples in each of these threads):

Yah... I hope that DF will reconsider and do a 6 or 12 pack of seated miniatures. I'll buy ten sets if they are the same quality and price range as your other miniatures have been.

23 Rabbits pretty ok there are no sitting minis - 'you don't win a war by sitting around!'

Though do agree that there seemed to be plenty of demand and DF should look at providing some in the future.

Cant wait to see what encounters are going to include new water tiles :)

Loving the idea of background and source books - scoured through the map book from KSIII

Stefan if you need some background material on Lagomorph history on Mythras I will talk to the clan Long Ears and provide some pre history of Mythras before the elder races arrived 'Silmarillioneskish'

I am sure there is great demand from backers to read all about Mythrasian Bunny lore ..........no ..????

I think that poll was not very scientific, and possibly only done in the creative team.

Personally I do not really have any interest in seated figures.

I’m not sure how you guys missed the requests and discussions about seated minis, but there is a lot more interest than just 3 people.

Even if you do half dozen poses in 3 color schemes, that would really help.

Damn, well...

The good news is: This is exactly what I wanted.
The bad news is: Because this is exactly what I wanted, I was hoping it would be something else so I wouldn't have to go in big this time again.

Very glad we'll have all the new pieces (diagonals, swells, 4"x4" curved pieces, 1" advanced builder pieces) that break up the currently blocky-type builds. That was problem #1 with the original caverns.

I see people are thinking of passing on the standard 2"x2" pieces (which would be the KS5 equivalent of either the "Vaulted Dungeon Starter Set" or the "Classic Dungeon Remastered Core" set) but you might think twice about that. The original caverns pieces are very limited and extremely repetitive (how many times can you use the straight wall with the green pools before your room looks tiled or mirrored?) For an "organic" look, we need more sculpts of basic pieces that break up the repetition. This was problem #2 with the original caverns.

Also, obvious suggestion: There should be a 2"x4" Breached Wall piece, that could be used as a transition piece from the Caverns to the Burrows, and it should align with the 2"x4" Breached Wall from KS5 when placed back-to-back, to make a transition piece from Caverns to Dungeons.

I think you read the wrong threads...

There have been a LOT of requests for Seated Minis.

Even requests for three packs of Seated, Standing, and Combat for the same miniature.

Please reconsider, if not this time, for next time.

I second, or fifth or whatever the idea of backfill doubling as open space / chasm pieces. Seems like a win-win
Backfill/chasm pieces FTW! While it's being mentioned, it would be very generous of DF to create Dwarvenite backfill pieces for the resin cavern line as well -- a nice nod toward those of us who still use resin while also providing chasm pieces for those who are KS2 only. No need to change the color scheme from KS2 either --most of us resin-heads know our way around a paintbrush by now and would be happy to reskin those pieces to match :D

I have used my waterfall pieces on occasion, it was just too hard to get more than 4 as the rest of the set had little appeal to me.

So from where I stand:

+1 for seated minis! I have a few, but would love more variety!

I know this is just me, but please no burrows or city add-ons. I'm not a big fan of either and bought none. I could give all my details as to my opinion, but then it would just come across as antagonistic. All I'll say is I'm not a big fan and in the end Dwarvenforge can make their decision on what they want to do. However, I won't be putting any money down for either unlike my big money for KS 1 and 2!

Now, I do think 2x2 and 4x4 footprints would be a huge draw for many. I'd love them! These are tremendous benefits to a quick set-up which happens often in games. I'd just hope they don't have the bend of the former 4x4 and 4x6 tiles of previous KS'rs. Great tiles that are used all the time, but they all have serious disappointing bend.

Caverns are great, but we do need variety in the wall design. I just set up a cavern set-up tonight and had to really pick and choose my tiles to not make it look repetitive. The back fill on pieces is a great suggestion and one I hadn't thought of! I think this would be the #1 KS to go with adding new tiles to vary set-ups.

Transition pieces are cool, but don't make the overall KS'er based on this. One, two or even three nice add-ons would be fine, but that's all. Keep that in mind.

Finally, the water pieces. I bought 5 sets and hated the paint so I repainted them all. In truth I don't love my repaint as they all now look to dark and like swamp tiles (yes OK but no longer blue water tiles). I also have NEVER used the waterfall tiles as they do look a bit silly. So my point with these are that if you can do something better with the water tiles then go for it, but if you think you can't exceed what you've already done then be careful and steer away and do what you're really good at. There is no need for you to do water tiles and produce an inferior product compared to all your other stuff. Stick to what your great at and when you can get there with the water tiles then go for it, but not with a concept as was done last time because they weren't great.

Don't mean to be offensive, but wanted to offer a fair and honest opinion to help!

John (arbados)
