These photos are getting close to completion.

Next, I think we'll give you a proper teaser photo with a few painted pieces in a build. How does that sound?
Awesome *-*

It might be the highly prized right hand corner!

We all have far too many left hand corners from the last kickstarter, but we sorely need right hand corners

Is that.....could it be?.....the left side of a large curved wall that I have been hoping for?!!

I want backfill pieces because I want to use curved corners, C corners, and endcaps inside my cavernous rooms; not having them just leaves an ugly hole . I use all of my 2x2 footprint corners (see Kitenerd's post above) inside and have to use all of my normal curved corners on the outsides, so my variety is stifled due to design. If we had some alternative chasm pieces that could act as a backfill for the curved corners at least, I could use them in by builds in interior locations.

Sometimes it's about function over realism. We're talking about a game where you fight dragons, owlbears, and squid-faced monsters. Sometimes the situation calls for something less realistic but more fun for the sake of the game, and having the option to use more of my pieces in my builds only makes my DF collection more modular.

I just want to chime in with my own personal opinion. Caverns generally don't have 2 sided walls the way dungeons do. Back fills don't make sense for a cavern since they would actually be solid stone. The back side of a wall is only sculpted to make the whole piece look more visually interesting. If DF sculpted the corners as a solid 2" the pieces would be too thick to produce at a price most of the backers could afford. I personally don't want to see back fill pieces that would take away piece count slots for more interesting pieces. I can understand why some of you want to utilize both sides of a cavern wall to save on table space, but visually I think the negative, unused space makes a more realistic build. Again, this is my personal opinion on the matter.

I respect this, but often build caverns with chambers - i slapped this together quickly to show what i am talking about:

this creates dynamic encounters where the characters cannot immediately know everything in the room

I am not advocating large solid chunks, nor am i advocating backfill pieces - just extend the floor to fill the footprint

i do not finds this terribly distracting - especially not weighed against the increased utility of the piece

i only have six of these (care to guess my pledge level?) would love more options like this

again not advocating additional pieces or large solid chunks (which have a potential all their own) - just the inclusion of the outside corner
