What about an encounter that uses swarm upon swarm of vermin or insects pouring out?

I think three elevation blocks tall would be dramatic enough for a 8 inch bridge :!:

This how I worked out the Lay out for The bridge scenario. I had to keepit 2' by 2' The Balrogs wings were the big issue with the columns

All the talk about Dwarf cities and bridges caused me to think about Lord of the Rings builds

Rabbit Burner, to leap from your idea, does anyone remember the third Indiana Jones movie when he had to walk across the "invisible" bridge? It was only one person wide. Like the idea of many bridges, flat, arched, long!
Stairs that wind up walls and around rock formations all sound fabulous :)

Looks like quite a demand for cavern 'furniture' - i.e. items that are added to the cavern layouts - Spoil heaps, skeletons, cave ins, rock falls of various heights & depths, traps, plant life, lairs, dwellings and their ruins, barricades etc.

Hey there,

Much of what I think has been already mentioned but my quick(ish) list is as follows (with much wishing):

Encounters:
• Underground crypt (centre piece stretch goal (magnetic?) could be an extra stone sarcophagus partly opened with a skeletal hand/arm or magic sceptre or such poking out)

• Crystal cavern (possibly with a stretch goal (magnetic?) piece like a much larger LED crystal on an outcropping or stalagmite)

• Sink hole room with ledges around the outside of the sink hole (stretch goal/centre piece maybe remains of an adventurer with a backpack/other loot)
o Variant could be a room with multiple smaller sink holes.
o Could use a new type of terrain tray – chasm dropping down to water or lava.

• Room completely flooded or with a large pool of water
o Waterfalls possibly (secret area or passage behind – may be hard to do)
o Stepping stone/ledges add-on pack?
o negative build with terrain trays?

• Fungus Grotto.

• Mine cart tracks/control junction or mine cart related service area.

• Dragon lair

• Underground river with jetty, barge, branching water ways (any combo of) etc.

• Small fortification or checkpoint or barricades with passage intersections (could be versatile and used for different races of enemy)

Pieces:
• Dungeon to cavern transition pieces

• Flooded corridor/room/mines

• Underground river passages possibly with room for ledges (could be a bit too adventurous here)

• Waterfalls

• Fungus covered passages

• Mine cart tracked passages

• Floor lit LED pieces (glowing stalagmites or street lamp type setup)

• Stalagmites and stalactites possibly magnetic

• Love magnetic add-on stuff like
o tree roots
o fungus
o lanterns
o embedded skeletons half out of wall

• Elevation including
o Rickety stairs winding up/down a stalactite
o Stone ladder cut/set into an elevation or wall piece

Some of the greatest stories used in RPGs and the fantasy books they are based on come from myths, legends and the religions of the real world and one sort of cavern sculpt we could use is a big rounded rock that can roll and sit in front of a new narrow entrance. It would be useful not only in many of our games but with all the people here who do Christmas displays with their Dwarven Forge I bet they could use this piece in their Easter setups.

Just a thought and no offence meant to anyone.

A long thin cavernous bridge would be nice. We got very nice 4 inch bridges last time, but maybe we can get longer now.

The bridge in the Elevations pack is one inch wide, and Chasms pieces placed straight edge to straight edge can produce narrower spans. But no arches.
Favorite Pieces: Chasms, 45 Degree Passages, River & Lava Banks, Ledges, Large Curved Walls, Elevation Arch
