So I did a fast and dirty set up using some of the stuff from 2 sets. It does not look terrible once you put it all together and is playable but still a little too purple.



3 different shades on the paint jobs.






I do think they will work perfect in case I need make and encounter of The Cave of Barney.

I'm afraid I disagree with you.

It looks pretty terrible to me. It is clear there are severe differences in the paint between pieces. Some way more purple, some with NO purple, and some with a crappy mix of purple.

I like (either one of) the two more-muted versions of the color scheme.

But yeah those couple Technicolor pieces - and especially the range of color variation between pieces - are not... great.

My little lot (Entrance Set) arrived an hour ago - So Crinkly! Ran out of floors immediately, tho. Trifecta pieces are great, but the real MVPs are the convex and concave pieces - EC-601 & EC-602. Mind bending possibilities. November/Dec can't come soon enough (except for the wintery bits).

I also had 2 of the ice sets like this on order but they where not in this shipment. If anyone gets any of the ice ones I would like to see any pictures of it to see how they came out.

Also just a FYI I found some red and green glitter pieces on my Underdark tiles. Not glued to it just a few random flakes that stuff must still be in the factory hahahaha.

I would not mind the mid range purple myself, and the almost no purple might match the regular caverns well. The bright purple is pretty bad though.

I have always found their "expertly hand painted" to be BS, as these are basic factory worker paint jobs but mostly it has looked good to very good.

Hopefully things are not as bad as they seem and those getting the underdark will be satisfied or capable of fixing the paint job.

The corner piece actually seems to match the KS photos. The others unfortunately do not...
