Maybe there is none. It would explain a few things. Maybe each worker gets one candle to use ... a month.

Kudos for DF for acknowledging this and owning it, be interesting if any replacements are QC checked again for yellowing.

Would not like to speculate what kind of lighting is used in Chinese factories.

I'm glad DF took the time to research the problem, confirm it, and is taking corrective action. Yet another example of great DF service and support!
Seriously! I remember when Hasbro was selling clone trooper action figures in 2011 that were done with some terrible polymer that was yellowing even before the figures were sold. Companies try new techniques and materials but not many of them stand by their customers like DF does!

Not much UV from indoor lighting. The stuff is made and boxed indoors, and probably never sees significant UV until the customer opens it. My gaming cave has very little natural light, and it would probably take me months to notice any yellowing.

Anyone find it odd that they apparently do not have UV light when manufacturing, shipping and painting these things in China? Some people reported really fast yellowing.
Not really.

As I imagine with China's air pollution issues manufacturing is no longer done by sun light but by LED light.

Factory folks probably have their heads down, working the assembly line and are on to the next thousand pieces before the paint has dried on the last thousand... and who knows what kind of overhead lighting they have that might effect the appearance as they’re painting.

Looks like everyone here on the forums was right and wrong at the same time, no matter your view on the matter. It was intentional but not at the level it came out to be.
