Ok, here’a very quick build of all my painted DH and Erinthor so far. No rhyme or reason to the build... :)

I rather like them attention grabbing!
I don't mind maybe one or two of those vine patches here or there in a build. But in large layouts, when there is a straight line of 6" escarpments or a few levels paralleling each other it's not optimal. Even just when a camera view grabs several in the shot, it becomes an overpowering detail that's just 'too' much. :ugeek:

It's the patch in the middle of the 6" escarpment (first picture of pacarat's last post, is cleanest version of vines). I went back and looked through this thread, but couldn't find a good example of what I'm "going on'' about. I think it might have been a shot from zenako or Law with the factory paint jobs. It was just something that really jumped out at me, a bit assaulting. Knowing these changes were happening I mentioned the "problem". I think pacarat's will be awesome, because with just a few modded pieces that are slightly different looking, they can be mixed into "standard" lines of escarpments and help immensely. Plus, his painting is WOW. 8-)

It's just my opinion and truthfully I'm looking at home made foam escarpments on a larger scale for here. :?

Great job on these, really like the muddy/dirty trail as it descends into the entrance. The roots/vines look particularly nice! I know the focus will typically be on the "forest" parts of these forest tiles ... however - your paint on the ROCK & STONE portions looks amazing.

Thanks, all. I'm really pleased with how these are turning out. Really helps when I'm starting with such fine detail - thanks to the crew at DF.

Yep, 8-) ... nice job breaking up those vines (what I called roots) they are much less attention grabbing. I'll bet they look fine all lined up. Layout pictures soon? :?: ?
And I take all the good ideas I can find... :)

Still some more work to do before I am ready to break from painting and do some layouts.

I have to upgrade the lighting in my game room first, or pics won't be suitable. I also have a list of other home projects that are.. ahem.. higher priority. My guess is probably end of March before I get stuff on the table.

Those really look good. Lots of mods, and tons of variety.
