Base wood dry brush on the trees themselves and also the stumps, at least the upper quarter, to match the tree.

If they are dry brushed a lighter color on top of that (it will be obvious if they are as it will be very light) I would try 2 parts stucco to 1 part base wood. The key is that you do the same process on both trees and the stumps that they connect to. I did not buy painted but this is what sounds screwed up on the factory paint jobs as the trees and tiles might not have been done by the same worker.

Feather into transition areas with mixes of the two if needed.

Thats a good plan. I just hate having to paint anything I paid to have painted. Maybe there is a lesson in there for me. As an old sckool resin boy, I have always bought painted, but the glaring inconsistencies disturb my OCD.

I just received the 4th part of my KS 6 order. The trees and escarpments. The stumps came awhile back. I chose the painted sets with woodland terrain trays. I was happy to mount the trunks to the stumps. That said, the stumps and roots have a drybush on the bark and roots; however, the tree trunks do not.

I assume this is the broader case and not just limited to my three boxes of trees. It does not blend well at all.

Anyone have recommendations on how to drybrush them to match?
Mine also don't match well. But it is hard to see from further away.

You're not alone. Lots of little things about KS6 drive me crazy. ;)
Most just frustrating since I played a small fortune for painted trees for hoped for uniformity. That said, I want more.... 😂
