Thanks Law and thanks Zenako, this helps me a lot with the buying decision. I gotta piece a whole forest together over time budgetwise but I gonna start with light and heavy forest pack and the amount of tree packs you mentioned. Super helpful! :)

Rabbits, will you please hurry up and get your Awesome Forests already?

It's driving me nuts...
Agree. Looking forward to seeing some Rabbit forests almost as much as actually playing with my own this weekend.
Soooon

Should get to finish unboxing and come up with some builds this weekend, though trying to come up with something that Law and other DooFers have not done yet in their amazing builds will be challenging.

We can guarantee that there will be Trees, Rabbits, Elementals and Shrooms.
There will hopefully be some Awesomeness and Imagination wild or otherwise.
There might not be gunplay, Laser blasts and Plasma burns
Plan B may be enacted and Universal Keys may or may not be used.
Giant Stompy Robots have been heard in the distance.

The possibilities are pointless ...... errrr ..... we mean endless, yes definitely endless ..... honest :)

Well the Light Forest has 2 Medium 6x6 tiles and some clear tiles
The Heavy Forest has 2 heavy and 1 medium tile.

So you have 2 heavy with 3 trunk stumps each (1 large and 2 small) and 3 medium with 2 trunk stumps each (1 large and 1 small).

So you will have 5 large stumps and 7 small stumps to potentially fill.
The large Tree Pack covers 2 Large Trees and 1 stump topper.
The small Tree Pack has enough for up to 4 small trees and 2 stump toppers.
The Tree Variety Pack has 1 large Tree, 1 large Stump Topper, and 2 small trees and 2 small toppers.

one of each tree set gets you 3 large trees (2 large toppers), 6 small trees (4 small toppers)

Note in the small tree bundle there are not enough parts to make 4 complete small trees, but there are 4 top foliage crowns that can be used on shorter builds.

So one of each tree pack will give you enough to almost fill everything or as much as you want on the 5 forest floor tiles.

If the budget allows, the Forest Scatter Terrain is a very useful addition to the set, and lets you add additional stumps to locations or actual trees and by comparison, is pretty inexpensive.

Thanks!

I’d say 1 large and 1 small tree pack should give you enough. I got two of all of them (Heavy, light, large pack and small) plus the variety pack, and I was happy, so that would be roughly half of what I’ve been doing (minus escarpments and banks of course).

Law, I love your review and all the pics you posted! I love that DF got back to bigger tiles, even bigger than the resin and it sounds its still very variable! It sounds DH has the resin vibe goin for it! :)

I was wondering, what would you recommend to get if you would get one light forest and one heavyforest pack in terms of treepacks? I try to figure out what I need to get once it hits the store. Escarpments and special pieces have to come later for me. :)

Maybe buy a few sets and sell the bits on ebay or here. Someone would probably be looking for some..
That IS an extremely tempting idea....
Has worked for me in the past when I wanted extra X, Y, or Z pieces that were no longer available in small stand alone sets. Bought big sets, sold the rest at break even prices.
Win all around - for DF, me, and my buyers.

I got a chance to unpack my DH set, and I agree with the previous reviews. I think these may be the best pieces DF has made yet.
