William, I used some 8X 8s too.

Image

I decided I need 4 more 4X4s. I have more than enough for D&D

Image

I used the DOD floors as hallways but I feel the mt and KSII 4X4s are more versatile.

Image

I pledged for enough 6.66 lava tiles. I make 4 bot and Hirst tiles. I have Dragon lock and Secret weapon tile as well. I like to promote DF so I will order more from the store for the Massive Darkness games.

What are the 4x4 tiles on the right of this picture [IMG_4631.jpg]?
Mountain floors? Guessing since I never got any yet. Thanks.
Yes, I have to use the CB roads and the secret weapon 4by4s too.

I finally had a chance tonight to upload my photos of a quickie cavern. I used some older resin cavern floor, lake and river pieces for the outer sides and corners. Most of the internal walls are made from KS2 items. I did use the KS6 Convex Corner and some stalagmites for one corner. The others are: the square-based corner from KS2, The regular round corner from KS 2, along with a KS1 corner fill piece, which fits perfectly, and a stalagmite floor with a freestanding corner wall through the middle of it.

Thanks for the replies. I didn't notice the KS2 freestanding walls, those might be an interesting option. I considered Trifecta pieces, but they seem like they might be expensive for this purpose. I do have two packs on the way (today!), so maybe I'll understand better once I have them in hand.

I also considered just forgetting about interior rooms and translating the map according to adjacency: each room is a separate cavern, and everywhere there's a door I would just put a small passage back to the "main" cavern. I like this idea a lot, but the footprint would be a lot larger and it would get expensive fast...

Oldent: massive darkness is what I had in mind actually :)
I use DOD LEDs for Massive Darkness

Image

I use LED tables for the resin sets. Light and Dark are important for the Game mechanic.

Image

I have the DF tables too. The tables have a LED lamp.Mckee's Micomancy and Morology 3D prints

The crystals effect game play. They need to be in the correct section.

Image

I need the standing cavern curves so that I can keep the crystal cavern effect in the correct sections.

I Pledged for enough lava floor sections in KS 6.66 for the Crystal Cavern scenarios. :!:

My KS6 finally arrived. I was happy that the starter set was enough to make two small rooms, I had thought I would only be able to do one. I may want to order some more of these...

The trifecta packs look great but I have NO idea how they're supposed to work. The big floor goes with the big wall, I got that far, but the rest -- who knows. Hopefully it becomes more obvious with a bit of practice.

Here’s a shot of what I had in mind for the LED wall. In this pic I filled the gap with a stalagmite piece, but I could have left it open. It’s not quite an “interior” room, but it is two distinct cavern spaces that aren’t linked by a passage piece but instead are directly adjacent and share some wall.

I've created a few back-fill pieces for Caverns over the decades. Just not in mass.
I suggest getting some KS-1 floors and cut your own for places you might want them in. I even carved some wood floor back-fill pieces for the large resin cavern corners. You can see them in some old posts of mine. ;)
