Something we have wanted to do as soon as we saw Dreadhollow was to use a Fog Monster with it.

So finally managed to set it up :)

These first pictures do not do it the justice it deserves, but it did create an atmospheric ankle high ground hugging fog.

The POV shots give you a better sense of the fog as your looking through more of it but if we are being honest the fog in these pictures is a little underwhelming, in some part due to the size of the forest allowing the fog to dissipate quickly.

Fortunately we had plan B :) More to follow .......

Spooky!

Hoping plan B involves bramble walls, cliff pieces, and other scatter terrain to help contain the fog... ;)

As soon as I am finished painting my second set I'll be doing this. I have the original fog monster but I am most excited to receive the 'fog pods' from their recent kickstarter. The original fog monster puts out a LOT of moisture.

Fantastic effects RB.

So plan B involved adding our second Fog Monster 'The Dark Crypt' and this pumps out a lot more fog :)

The Rabbit Rangers also discovered that the forest contained more than just trees .....

Curious from a practical perspective, how loud or noisy are the F monsters? I do not own one, and probably won't but one concern I would have is how it could disrupt the play or other ambiance of the settings. It does look really cool in the shots, and I noticed that Matt Mercer pulled out and used one on a recent CR session in a swamp setting, but there they are all miced up and they likely took some efforts to noise insolate the machine.

Now that's spoooooky! Did it turn into a swamp from condensation?

It would look even cooler if you had some more back lighting to have rays of light through the fog. The last picture is my favorite as it has some of it. :)
