I really like the idea!
Looks like my 2 light forests and 4 forest banks would give me already a 18x24 area (including mountains/cliffs 22x24)

M - 2x2 mountains/cliffs
F - light forest 6x6 and 3x6
B - forest banks 2x6, 2x3 and two corners 2x2

With judicious spacing one can stretch the area coverage of DhF by interspersing scatter pieces in between banks - in effect making some undulating “rough ground”. Adding Erinthor pieces and escarpments into the mix would increase area coverage. I picture a more forested(duh) and congested version of the rocky area in LOTR where the trio are chasing the uruk-hai heading to Isengard.

I’m sitting on 8 bank sets but may increase that. I need to cut up some 1:1 scale paper templates of all the DHF sets and lay them out on a table.

but with the open forest terrain tray or the rock side of ks5 terrain tray, you can use them to make a path right thru the middle of your forest for your travelers (this can also be done with other fabric if you prefer a more dirt look path)
......
Hmmm lets us think about this ......

That’s brilliant!

Yeah what Law said +34

Not thought of this, another great use of banks nice work DaR :)
{bowing once again to Lagomorph wisdom} Yes, DaR has another dammit good idea. My Banks order keeps rising. They may be the most useful single set in KS6.....

I blew way past my budget. Failed all 3 death saves. Ordered 8 packs of banks.

I had this nightmare vision of myself a year from now, waiting for the “restock” of banks, desperately hitting “refresh” on my browser...
This....sadly many times this... so currently reassessing how many sets I might want and adjusting the budget up and up...$$$$$$$

I was already planning on six sets, but now with the idea of a road, I am thinking I might want eight to ten sets to ensure I can have a road along a river.

I really like this idea and you do need a bunch of these forest bank packs to make it work. Correct me if I'm wrong but 3 sets would barely get you 2 feet (leaving you 3 inches bank-less) assuming you wanted to bank both sides of a tray. This idea is quickly blowing up my budget.
If I could afford it that's exactly what I would get, I'm going to try and squeeze in 4 sets . Can't wait to see pictures of the road/river combos

Yup, rivers, pools, lakes or forest paths. These banks are so versitile. A path through forest terrain trays or even a dirt path through a
Forest with a mat like the bellow will all work great.

I think I’m in for 8 sets of banks.
