Quite happy for no beans :)

We never got onto the bean train for DF, they don't need to do it, we know that whatever they produce will be amazing.

Very happy to wait until the KS launches and be absolutely blown away.
I suspect you think the same as Nate. It is a viable strategy I guess, but not my preferred one.

As for moving production to the US, we suspect it also depends on current agreement with the Chinese factories and getting their current set of expensive steel molds shipped across to an equivalent US facility.
So many companies outsource to China that the cost savings must be very significant.

Agreed! I could definitely use the time to recover / bulk up my caverns this year. That being said... I would still love some beans now tho...

I would be very happy if KSVII was delayed until spring 2020. After the wallet pain of KSVI, I am very happy to have a financial break before KSVII. I think KSVI was probably my all in KS, as caverns are my most used environment, but if KSVII fleshes out the wilderness even more, I am in trouble.
This...definitely this...

The just have to figure out a way to clone Erin I think for the painting droids!! Yup, the painting part of the process would be a LOT more expensive I would guess, but perhaps not as much as folks might think. When mass painting items, there are some serious economies of repetition that can be achieved. Also, some of the early steps could be done with a paint gun/sprayer and that goes a LOT quicker.

They would be far more able to do the work in the USA if they had no painting i imagine. But I imagine it is all crazy labor intensive. I remember the videos.

I keep wondering when having them produced here in the US will be competitive with all the fees, international taxes, tariffs and increasing shipping costs added when making them in China. Not to mention convenience. ;)

Or do what they said after CD and really reduce the complexity of the kickstarter. That would allow wallets to relax a little (though yeah, that's not good for DF) and allow more flexibility with timing.
