Saw the picture and instantly assumed that was going to be the encounter on offer, all new sculpts or retasked CD sculpts.

Going to wait for the KS to see what could be used over ground, the lava river looks promising though ;)

Water would be cool. I'd also go for a necrotic sludge - I feel like that might be a better fit for the viscosity of the lava sculpt.

I can't wait for a water version of those lavafalls!
That's it! I think you are on to something. Water version in KS7, but lava version in KS6.66. I would LOVE that in a water version. Why waste the sculpt? you get twice the mileage with just a paint job....
A water version would perhaps tickle the needs of all those who have been clamoring for more water tile releases and the falls would be a nice step up from the small 2x2 size ones they have now that are "free-standing" and look ok, at least from a distance. If they have some that span the full width of the tile, you could create a very wide river and falls with caverns behind the water.

I would agree that build is probably in the 1k region. But the rivers themselves are probably nearer 500.

Crystal caverns is a pretty small build - this one looks bigger than that to me, more like the shrine of Skyss-Rysa. I figure the new lava river pieces will cost similar to the crystal cavern pieces and that is before the lighting is added. I think it will get closer to $1200 for what is on the table.

And yours for the bargain price of only $1999.
Ooof, let's hope not.
Yea let hope they keep this one small. I know they got to pay the bills but so do we. hahaha
I would guess based on caverns that set on the table is 600-750 (a little bigger than Crystal Caverns). The big variable is the lighting underneath. If all the pieces are clear and there is a light underneath as others have suggested then 6-750 is likely. If each piece has its own LEDs... then yikes. I guess I'm trying to anchor myself. What do others think?

This would be a nice encounter to offer during the ks. A good assortment and a decent size.

"You can see the light tray/box."

That looks like a tracing tablet to me. Note the cable/usb cord.

They range in cost from $13 to several $100

I would like a modified version of the current production light box.
We need more info 8-)
I ordered a $20 version of the light box to replace my antique 60W bulb slide viewer. There is a 17" version that would work well with a fancy table set up.
