You cannot have enough ruins - FACT!

We created a thread about how many ruined sculpts you would need for a decent ruined castle back in KSIV.

While we may have adimitedly go over the top by saying each non ruined sculpt should have two ruined versions, we dont think it was unreasonable for there to be at least one for each.
That would include crenellations that were seen in some pictures, both wall spacers, corner walls, 4" towers, tower floors, roof platforms, doors, draw bridge, the list can go on :)

So for us we would like to see a ruin for any sculpt of a man/rabbit made object, even if it is already a ruin !!!!!

Ruined ruins is the way forward ....... too far?.........ok scratch that last bit.

You can see the original round caverns chasms in this pic from the KS (around the glowy circle and at the top of the stairs):

Just my personal pride moment here. Stefan had originally sculpted chasm pieces that were more round, but decided to re-do them. After releasing pics, I suggested he make them work together so they could be used in the same 2x2 square. He changed the sculpts a little so they would fit.

Not that anyone cares but me, but I've always loved those pieces as a result. :D Not that I really DID anything substantial, but I feel a connection.
You might have started something actually. DF seems to be putting a lot of thought into the interactivity of pieces. Like how the stalagmites fit together and floor rocks seem to interlock or abutt against other objects.

Or maybe you just pointed out an almost missed opportunity. Either way it's just another reason DF stuff has more value than their competitors' cheap plastic stuff. I dislike terrain that looks like it was designed for a video game.

Ruined dungeon floor tiles 2x2 in half. I like my KS5 ledges but I want something for dungeons like the two KS2 chasm peices that fit together.
What are these of which you speak? I missed out on KS 2....

These two peices from the chasm set fit together and make a cracked cavern floor. A few sets of them arranged gives a good rift in a cavern floor.
Holy F*%#@ing Geez! My freakin' R%^(@, dang! I DID NOT KNOW THAT. That is awesome. I can't believe I didn't notice that before. I have precisely two of these pieces. Maybe that's why... Now I have to buy the F*@&^ing Chasm Pack. I tried other broken floor pieces from KS5 and they don't works harmoniously like that. That makes for a super sweet floor. Thanks Kbear. Uh, got anything else you would like to add? because you are kinda improving my builds with these offhand, by-the-way comments... :)

Ooooh, my mind combined the two: "ruined" portcullis bars. I.e. the portcullis insert with the bars bent apart wide enough for something to have passed through. Adds some tension to what might lie ahead.
Boil the KS5 bars and stick a dowel in between. Drop in ice water.
Ha! Obvious in hindsight and brilliant! :D
That would have a very nice look to it. I went in heavy on those 2x2 portcullis doors, so maybe I'll try that. Good thinking.

Wow, that’s a lot of creativity for one thread! Thanks for the ideas
