So, with the latest teaser, is it only me who thinks that these crazy plants can only mean other planes of existence or alien planets?

I must say, I hoped for something more normal, down-to-earth, like hills and meadows. KS7 seems to be way over the top, again. Hopefully not too much for me.
If it ends up being really off the wall stuff, it will be an unfortunate but easy pass for me.

I can't remember where I read it - but I thought one of the comments about the crazy plants was that they were from the shadowfell

So if there will be planes of shadow (I guess Shadowfell is copyrighted) in the Wildlands Kickstarter instead of hills and meadows, I will be a bit disappointed. I mean, how many adventures of your campaigns are taking place in Shadowfell or Feywild? In my case it is around 0.3%. (Which is around the same percentage as Lava, I admit)

We do not even have a simple grass tile, yet. I cannot even do an old cemetery with DF and they are thinking about other planes of existence? Please, no!

A small selection of bling would seem adequate to turn a standard Wildland into a Fey Wildland or a Shadow Wildland.

I hope KSVII is an easy pass for me.

I have no concerns they will get too specialized. With an expected 15 encounters, based on their last two large KS, I expect they will have 10-12 of them grounded more or less in the Prime Material plane (to use D&D terms). I expect the rest to be more specialized with perhaps one Fey encounter and one Shadowfell/haunted/dark encounter.

Shadowfell is not of much interest to us but we have not seen any DF staffer talk about Shadowfell or other related planes just DooFer speculation.

To us its just another exotic plant - like those in Plaguestone, it does not make a whole new environment. But wild speculation is what we DooFers do :)

As long as shadowfell is ruins I will like it.

I'd be very surprised with any sort of alternate color scheme given all the difficulties they've discussed with the factory/SKUs/paint jobs. So even if they have an 'exotic' environment, I suspect it would be via the content of the 'adventure pack'-style thing, and not a recolor as a whole. W

I looked at the pictures and thought: okay, that’s the way how the trees in the swamp encounter will look like. And ah, they integrated an interesting/deadly flower/plant hazard into the swamp...
I did not have the association of alien/shadowfel/feywild.
The best thing of the plant-thing is: it works very well with the new mushrooms and the KS 6 stuff.

So I’m even more exited for KS 7.
