Wallet doom by a thousand small packs.

Very much liking the new Banks edging pack - 4 gets us nearly enough for our 4 foot lava river :)

I want both, some times I just want a little of something, some times I want a good amount and other times I want a really huge amount with extra of certain parts. I have bought small packs, a mega pack, a mega pack and small packs and even multiple mega packs and small packs. It is great to get what you want.

My budget is always light by DF standards (i.e. way under $1000), so I almost automatically pass on any pack that is more than $80, while packs under $40 (e.g. Lava Cave Entrance, Spouted Floors, Infernal Door) always get extra consideration.

Yay! My composition made it, with a couple extra straights! :D
Yah, too bad it isn't also available in KS6 paint... I'd be tempted to grab some more there too.

I have bought both mega and smaller packs, depending on the sets. The mega mountains and sewers worked out quite well for me, but for me mega means having enough pieces to do anything you like. Yes, it is also easier to do it that way, as DF is generally good about balancing the sets, but not always.
Ditto. Mountains, sewers, roads were great to have megapacks for in my case, but I often have bought individual packs instead of mega as well when mega is just too much.
