I have bought both mega and smaller packs, depending on the sets. The mega mountains and sewers worked out quite well for me, but for me mega means having enough pieces to do anything you like. Yes, it is also easier to do it that way, as DF is generally good about balancing the sets, but not aways.

I have never bought a mega pack, they always seem to contain something I don't need, or at least not that many of.

I prefer smaller packs, but both small and mega would be good.

Smaller packs please! I agree that DF knows their sets best and should somewhat coordinate them accordingly but the smaller the pack the more flexibility, thus utility we have as backers. I often struggle whether to purchase a set containing additional pieces I am not wanting.

As a rule, I prefer having granularity available myself, and I'd certainly be happy for a small pack of straight banks, but the big value of megapacks for me is that DF has the pieces to play with and expertise to figure out a really good composition for a useful larger set, where if I was doing it myself by picking sets based on pictures, I might easily get it wrong. (Also I am lazy. :P) Erinthor is a great example: I was much happier buying one Erinthor set than I would have been trying to put a big mountain set together myself out of the smaller packs.

In this case, I have to say that I would really like a banks megapack that aligns nicely with the river megapack so that I don't have to try and figure that matchup out myself.

I do concur that if it's a choice, I'd rather have more bank packs than more floor packs.

Smaller packs make for more granularity in pledges, especially as mega packs often have more than you need. So you are more likely to be able to pledge for what you want without too many extra pieces you dont need.

Think there is room for both.

I agree - I'd like more small banks, especially after seeing the recent tweeted pics of lava terrain on top of caverns/floors (as if breaking up through). I'm also really interested in the negative space builds which also require banks.

Edit: I see in the KS Update for day 6 a graphic for a Lava Stone Banks pack. I'm happy with that.
