Bah! Who cares what you call tomatoes! The important thing is that they're finally releasing the much-requested "Cavernous Completely Filled With Rubble Set". :) I've been waiting for that set since I started collecting DF. I'm sure the "Medieval Brothel Set" will be nice too, though I wonder if it's going to include the appropriate minis as well? I figure there should at least be a madam and a handful of scantily dressed women. Hopefully the detail work will be up to Stefan's usual quality. ;)

Roots, leaves, stems, flowers - these are vegetables.

If its got a seed, its a fruit.

But as a Plant Biologist Tomatoes are Fruits by a Biology Definition (ovary, with its seeds, of a flowering plant: a berry infact), however by culinary/eating definition they are classified as a "veggie" by usage, ie not as a dessert and sweet, and served as part of the main meal or a salad. Though there is no such thing as a vegetable out side of culinary/food terms. ( ihave however being the plant biloigst have tried to start the trend of "veggies" as anything that is the vegitative part of the planet thatyou eat, like lettace, Cabbage, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Asparagusetc)

We thought that we would shake things up a bit this time with an exciting contest. We also thought it would good to do some good as well. This is Healthy Eating Awareness month so we thought we would combine the benefits of promoting good health to gamers (who really need it!) and our love of Dwarven Forge sets.

This contest the pieces that are allowed for your use are:

Cavern Set (2)
Room and Passage Set (2)
Fantasy Floor Set
3 pounds of your favorite fruits

The idea is to set up a really cool set-up using the sets above -- and then populate the dungeon with different kinds of fruit to act as the monster minis. The idea, which got its start in a gaming group on the campus of So. Ill. University, is that when a monster is killed in the game, the person who killed the monster gets to eat the fruit! Or they can simply smash the fruit and try to spray debris upon their fellow gamers. This is a fun and wholesome bit of gaming fun. Special points will be awarded for those who can work in high fiber fruits like figs or miniature varieties of fruits.

And please, no smart-alec posts that contain tomatoes. They ARE vegetables, I don't care what you say!

The winner will receive the proof set of both of the the soon-to-be-released "Medieval Brothel Set" and "Cavernous Completely Filled With Rubble Set".

Good luck and don't forget to brush after!
