Gonna have to pay better attention to what’s printed on electronics boxes I’m about to recycle. Be right back, dumpster diving behind the Best Buy...

We did wonder when you were going to explain your highy tech procedure for CGI'ing that amazing backdrop.

We are not dissapointed
Great job William - love that :)

I have not forgotten this little story.
I just want to do it better than it was going the first time.
No big thing, it'll just be a bit longer before I post again on this one.
Busy on toooooo many projects. ;)

Some pictures that will 'splain' how the background was done... ;)

We bought a large TV a few months ago and when I looked at that box,
I knew exactly what it was going to be used for.
I want to talk to a TV installer about different pictures now...

Some time in the future there will be an addition to this thread. Really, there will be...sometime...
I'm not going to pin down any time frame though, sorry. ;)

50mm X 100mm X 200mm - or just smaller then 2"x4"x8".
They are perfect for 8 standard (non CBS or Castle) sized pieces.
They cut fairly clean with sharp knife and then found out they are colored throughout.

EDIT - the whole discussion started here...

Since William does not mind, and I am a smart-aleck whippersnapper, here goes

1 block is 124 yen, so roughly a dollar and ten cents now, maybe 1.20.

Shipping for 50 of them to the USA was 5400 yen, or about 48 bucks at the current exchange rate.

Dunno on smaller numbers of blocks, a lot fewer might be cheaper but I suspect 30+ to be a similar price.

I will add 10% to make sure I don't lose money. No upcharge.

PM me if interested. Happy to do it.

What were dimensions on the blocks?

I actually bought them through Dice4hire here on the Forum. I couldn't find anything even close to this product here in the states or up in Canada. I tried to do it through company he mentioned in Japan, but they wouldn't ship internationally. Dice ordered 50 and just sent them out to me in the box they sent him. I paid him through PayPal and all was good. Shipping was fairly fast (a week or so to Seattle), it would have been nice if there was a slower and significantly cheaper way to send, but I'm not sure if he had a choice from Japan. The price was doubled by the shipping. I would quote it here, but prices and shipping will be different now. Try giving him a PM.

EDIT- Your too damn quick son.

EDIT #2 - Ask for 52, the box could have held two more quite nicely.
Final price after shipping was $2.70 per block.
