It is possible that the seller bought these when resin was overstocked. After KS1, I bought piles of various now OOP RESIN SETS that were available in abundance. In fact, before KS1 I bought a pile of Scifi and caverns at a large volume discount. As to profit, Ebay and well funded collectors push up the prices, not the sellers.
I think they call it Law of Supply and Demand in Econ 101......

I believe they should have had a 1 per buyer limit, like Catacombs 1.

It wasn't so, so whatever. I will surely not buy then on ebay, even at half the current prices.
I would support a one per buyer limit, IFF the demand exceeded the supply (which it usually does!)

Yea we have all seen things like this happen before. Nothing much we as a customer can do other than not buy the over priced stuff off ebay. Being that DF is a small company and can not afford to have stock laying around it make for a strong 2ed hand sellers market. I have said it before that pre orders would help with this kind of thing a lot.

Wow that sucks. I bought a set of 4 off of Ebay almost 2 years ago at a deal and sold 3 (I was able to keep the last one for "free.") Buying out the store to resell at an inflated price is no bueno. Everything I resell I got from a collection, not the store.

ROTA Shame

Okay, I'm going to say it. Somewhere along the line DF put up a small stock of ROTA intersections for $25 each. They sold out quickly. Now there's at least two sellers on eBay with large quantities selling them for $200 a piece.
