Oh, those stairs!

Why didn't i buy more stairs?

Glorious stairs...

Always fun to follow the story and see the builds... but this time... oh the stairs!

Is that a Bridge of Valour roof on the gatehouse?
Yes, that's the roof from the Bridge of Valor which was released during the City Builder Kickstarter.

The tower is just curved wall sections from KSI. I never got any towers from castles. I did get a couple tower roof sets though.

Thanks for the comments on the stairway. If you look carefully you can see the two interations of support. One is mostly mountain pieces on end and was very precarious. The second is cavern and castle elevation blocks and was a lot easier and more stable.

I really like the elevated epic curved stairway. That one has gone into my mental book for future encounters.

Oh my..... where to start?

Well first seems like the gate keeper forgot to lock the zoo gates at closing time.

The first picture of the elephants roaming in the distance is very cool especially with the sideboard mountains in the far background.

Very much liked the Elephant confrontation could imagine much hilarity ensued ;)

The tower looks great, we assume its a 4" castle tower, liking your tower entrance a lot :)

To the the teaser pictures:
Rabbit that lava bridge and winding stairway are awesome and the temple of magic at the top is fabulous. Nice use of those incredibly useful foam bricks, mountain and castle pieces - cracking build d4h :)

Is that a Bridge of Valour roof on the gatehouse?

The game began with some elephant troubles when the aggressive bull elephant confronted the party. Attempting to get by without combat, one party member tried diplomacy, one tried intimidate and the last tried a bluff. The elephant was a bit confused, naturally.

In the next round everyone got on the same page and the intimidate checks convinced the elephant to back off.

The next obstacle was an enspelled Rhino who was far far more aggressive.

The party entered the area he was guarding and the fight was very quick and surprisingly bloodless all around as the party easily defeated him while taking minimal damage.

Instead of going into the tangled woodlands growth the party decided to check out the tower. It was six levels of danger and pretty simple _(did not get any castles towers, so just a poor man's version)

The rogue went first and found the tower prevented all magic from working, or at least kinds the party couple use. However, the primordial magic of creation worked well.

Each level was
1: A green algae pool that protected the skin of anyone from the toxic liquids above
2: Mugs of an ale that prevented all poison damage
3: A cabinet with 5 different colors of potions. One party member tried to open a vial with no ale protection but the poisoning was not too bad.

4: The mixing room where the potions, if poured in order, could create a primordial ooze which had many powers.
5: The shaping room where the primordial ooze could be shaped into any one item.
Onus Session 29 M.jpg

6: The beacon room where the beacon would tell primordials this world's dawn wasr had been lost or was still continuing, thus increasing or decreasing primordial activity in this world. To the God's relief the party chose to warn primordials to stay away.

And the session ended there with a pretty good success. Next session is on to the tangled woodlands and the lizardfolk.

And another session was had by all. The party is traveling back from the swamp and closing the human-made portal to the outer planes and got a couple of divine visits. The God of War (no not the one here) thanked the party for invoking him with the enemies in the last adventure and restored his blessings to them. Ha also asked them to "talk" with a certain warrior back at the Lord's holding, and "take him down a few pegs" The party enthusiastically agreed.

The second visitation was the Goddess of magic, who had a request of the party. She asked them to visit one of her old temples and kick the fire giants inhabiting such castle out. She was none to happy with the elemental, nearly primordial beings being in there. She also told the party that she had disowned the druids in the land who were trying to set up the area to be a primeval wilderness and so exclude the Goddess of magic and her people from returning to their homelands. She told the party they could do whatever they wanted to that organization with her blessing and not to believe them if they said they were working for her. Seems like another entry on a divine hitlist (or to-do list)

So the setup.
