I can see several positive points to cardstock or paper terrain, but I won't ever spend that much on it, especially when I can buy a set of ink cartridges and two packs of card stock for less. Yeah, I'd have to assemble it, but that takes less time than painting one mini.

I have a ton of DF but I can see where this would be useful for board games. It would also be useful if you take a game to some place other than your house. Looks nice for easy transport.

I understand the need for cheaper options, but IMO that's what 3d printers are for.
But this is ready to use right out of the box, literally.
Sure, after you wait months for it to be shipped to you. You could print an entire dungeon and city setup before you ever see this KS delivered, and the printed stuff will look better.

What if you want a round room?
Yes but you also have to have a 3D printer which many of us don't. Then you have to paint the terrain.

It's also really cheap comparitively. I like tiles with cool art but always hated lack of walls.

You can get a ton of stuff for 180$. How much DF can you get for that? Lol

DF is much better but a huge investment to get much.
Well, if you're new to terrain, probably 1x Remastered Core Set and one or two accessory sets, depending on what you want. (For example, 1x Core Set and 1x Advanced Builder Set is already $171. 1x Core Set and 1x Dungeon Dressing Pack is $169.) The $180 you're talking about is for 3 of their sets.

I honestly feel that their product is a $30 item. They are a little pricey. But if they can get the price down to the $30 range, I see a whole slew of potential customers. As it is, they are too close to fully 3D competitors for me, but I do see some people who may be short on storage space who would like the idea of having everything fit within a the largest box. Marie Kondo, perhaps? 8-)

Yea but one core set and an accessory pack you can build what maybe 2/3 medium to small rooms? With this you can build like 15 to 20 rooms in different styles so not really apples to apples.

Agree it's a bit pricey for board terrain though. I do like the storage and that it's ready out of the box.

I think it's an excellent idea for someone who has no terrain. It's compact, it has a wide variety of rooms, and it is easy to understand. Once you need more modularity or find more 3D options, this quickly becomes obsolete. But I do see the target audience. This is a product I can see on a FLGS store shelf for someone just dabbling in 3D scenery.

If DF did not exist I could see myself getting it to this. But DF is way more modular.
And detailed. And durable. and three dimensional.

I understand the need for cheaper options, but IMO that's what 3d printers are for. I really am left scratching my head about who the target audience is here.
