Very impressive pictures Paracat :o :( :?

It seems that I should be glad to own just a lake and a lake expansion set.

I really hope for KS 7 to get new river options and maybe even some lake/swamp etc options with light panels.

The resin pieces look really cool but it seems that they are very difficult to use due to size differences.

@Law or someone else who owned the resin lake sets and DH and the DH banks. How do the resin lake set works with DH? Curious to see a nice build with these sets.
more than 2,800 self painted dwarvenite pieces :)

Makes me think I'm glad I passed. :(
The day they say "all the resin water tiles are now uniform in shape and size" is the year I might consider them.
Before that, I'll stick with my ways of doing water or when I finally get my KS-2 water tiles painted, I'll use them. ;)

Some updates on the replacement sets. Even with two new sets to work from, I still had QC issues and could not make two complete sets (out of the four) - just two tiles short. The two new ones were in much better shape, both condition (blemishes, surface finish, rounded corners /edges from sanding), and size (LxW) consistency.

There are differences in the painting from the original resin lake.

L to R: Old lake, new river, new lake. Note the length issue between lake and river tiles over the four tile columns.

New lake, new river:

All new resin. Note size deltas:

Paint: old L, new R
New is sloppier, less uniform, and more crude, IMO. Can barely see the lighter green shallows, and colors (bubbles and edging) are not the same.

Blimey! they are really off :(

You contacted DF about these inconsistencies pacrat ?
Yes. Working with Chuck. He is sending me two new sets - hopefully they are better.
DF customer is still excellent.

It's also good for all DooFers to let DF know of any issues even if they do not bother them, as it might be something DF can improve on before it becomes a bothersome issue.
