Prepainted Minis Kickstarter
Hi all,
I haven't posted in a while now, but I wanted to drop in and mention a new Kickstarter that launched yesterday.
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/194 ... l-wave-dcm
If you haven't used DCM minis yet, they're pretty cool, and seem to be geared toward filling in the gaps that have been left by DDM. I bought a bunch of their previous sets and the quality is very nice.
The first goal in the Kickstarter is for a set of pirate-themed minis, with mermaid and a huge water elemental (!!). They're doing KS-exclusive alternate paints as well as bonuses.
Based on some of the icons they're showing for the stretch goals, there might be some terrain in the mix soon as well (like huts and wagons).
It looks like it's going to work similarly to the Reaper Kickstarter, in that the more stretch goals get unlocked, the better deal it becomes.
Anyway, I'm not affiliated or anything; I just want to see it succeed. Please check it out.
Thanks,
Yukon

I'm keeping an eye on this one incase it goes crazy like the reaper KS did. I really like this company's tentacles so I have some respect for their sculpts.

I know! I thought about saying something about the 666, but I thought I'd just savor the moment.
...and now it's gone.

The tentacles look really nice with the DF river and lake setups.
I'd be really surprised if this Kickstarter went as high as the Reaper one, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if it crested $1 million. That's a lot of sets and a lot of bonuses.

Re:Prepainted Minis Kickstarter
They posted an update that previews the first stretch goal. It's a group of mercenaries, including an Amazon Warrior, a Persian Sailor, Tribal Hunter and a Pygmy!

I'm liking the artwork. Still a long way to go before it funds, so if you're even on the fence about it, please pledge! You can always back out later if you change you mind.

The Kraken looks really awesome, but I'm looking forward to those huts! Prepainted outdoor terrain! Yeah!
