Thanks guys... it was a labor of love, started on a whim. Took up pretty much 100% of my hobby time for that eight months. Turned out much better than I ever expected.

Lots of kitbashing, conversions, head swaps, scrounging the interwebs and local model train store for bits. Minis and vehicles are mostly Peter Pig, with some Battlefront thrown in.

I’ve always wanted to do a big plains indian wars setup - had the lead on my shelf for twenty years and never got around to it so sold it all at a ‘con. Still have the Pony Wars rules - which are a hoot. Real tongue in cheek, full of classic Hollywood western memes/stereotypes.

Fun stuff, thanks for posting pacarat. :D
I've been on a old western kick lately. :? :ugeek:
I'm sure the Audie Murphy westerns will phase me right back into war flicks again, it's been a long time. ;)

Sean Connery as Major General Urquhart, Commander of the Red Devils on the table being stitched up. One of my all time favorite movies.
Yes, and no... :)

It was his CSM who was hit and lies on the table. The General is holding the pistol. At least that’s how the movie showed it. :D

Awesome diorama!

It is funny, the same way dressings make the dungeon, the setting makes the minis that much better

great to see the time and care to put the whole package together

now i gotta go to netflix and put a Bridge Too Far in my que... it has been too long
Thanks. It was an eight month project to fully customize a 15mm force representing B Coy, 2nd South Staffs in Oosterbeek during Market Garden. Each sub-unit had a unique theme for its bases.

The Brits had a photography unit in the landings, so there are lots of pics of troops dug in around the Oosterbeek area. I used those pics to model many of the units as they were shown.

What’s cool (IMO) is that while on a business trip in Germany the summer I was working on these, I drove up to Arnhem, and walked some of the battlefields. I brought back a handful of sand from one of them. Some of that sand is now on the bases of several of the units. :)

I have a very small idea I can't seem to find.
A Hall-tree or two with canes and things in it and a few different Coat-racks... that's all. ..................... well maybe a wall mounted coat-rack with a magnet. ;)

EDIT -
O.K. - what about DF art (from the minds in Valoria) in mini picture frames with magnets.
I made my own umbrella and stand (in 15mm) using a bit of twisted jewelry wire and some GS.

Bonus points if you can tell me what movie this scene is depicting... :)
