Just spotted this upcoming next spring from WizKids...Airship

Yes, was watching for that to be available for purchase. It’s now available for preorder from GameNerdz, but I’m not sure I want to pay $72 for it:

If I played in Eberron/Sharn, it’d be a no-brainer.

That airship is very nice. I am very iffy on the Reaper ship, as it is maybe too big

I have the same feeling.
Really depends on the price. Everything above 50$ is to much for me and I will use my mega blocks ships instead...
I would like have ships of appr. 8 to 12 inch length. (12 to 18m)

But maybe our DF pieces are just to small compared to the existing ships ;)

Another question...
I unboxed my „new“ core set bones 4 yesterday. I had the feeling that some human minis are more 32mm than 28 mm. What are your experiences with minis from reaper? Is my feeling wrong and just reflects the different size of people or do you have the same feeling.
more than 2,800 self painted dwarvenite pieces :)

Reaper does a lot of heroic size 32 mm models.

When I get DF's minis their 25 to 28 mm size makes them look really small.

Pics of my painting today as a Typhoon causes no real problems at all, at least not yet.

I started wishing Reaper would buy their sculptors rulers long ago.

First their minis tend to be over sized simply because their main customers are not gamers but painters and if you are painting minis it is a heck of a lot easier if the mini is a little bigger, plus it is easier for a sculptor to sculpt the details also. Second if people buy their minis even if they are not to a D&D gaming scale why should they care enough to make the sculptors uses a ruler.

I am ok with minis of varying heights but sometimes it looks wrong.

They do tend to have crazy scales on things. Like the elephant I posted. I had not idea he was so big, but a hut in the same set turned out to be basically a pup tent, instead of a home like everyone though.

I guess a ruler is quite expensive
I use sometimes anyway 32mm figures (have a lot of heroscape stuff) but I was not aware of the different scale.

Funny thing. If you compare the wizkids horse to the bones mule you thing the mule is at most an iceland pony. (There we have the opposite size difference between wizkids and reaper miniatures)

Quite cool paint job. I would change the color of the tusks into something brighter. Maybe gold as well?

That is my trepidation about that ship as well. I mean the Barge is pretty heavy as is, and something a LOT larger by all accounts would be real heavy and perhaps a bit unwieldy to move about or store/display.
