Here is our Barge undercoated/basecoated using GW Corax White rattlecan

Intend to add some Nihilakh Oxide to give it that ghostly effect

It caused absolute mayhem when it attacked the Crag!
Ramming a defending sloop into the docks, then after one look at who was aboard all the sloops crew abandoned ship.

I love this! In my head the barge had one figure on board (high level undead or necromancer) and the deck covered in bones and discarded weapons. After ramming the other ship, the bones all animated, picked up weapons and started boarding. Cool!

That is cool. I was surprised how hard it was to find painted versions of the ship online, so I just went with my idea. Choosing colors is half the fun of painting.

Nice paint jobs d4h :)

you often use colour combos we do not think of, which makes your pictures more interesting.

We have only undercoated our barge and have yet to upload any pictures of it. But we went for a full ghost ship theme, convenient too :)

Did not occur to us to go for something in-between. Yours seems like a real wreck dredged up and animated with unearthly powers. Top work :)

We built ours as per the instructions as we liked the canopy and figurehead. The canopy makes moving minis underneath a little tricky, but not too onerous. It is probably easy to magnetise (wishing we had thought of that earlier - DOH!).

It got used by our son with the GW wrecked ship to raid the crag and cause general mayhem, will have to upload the pictures.

Pics of my painting today as a Typhoon causes no real problems at all, at least not yet.
saw photos of flooding in Tokyo & heard the worst of it is over (in spite of the earthquake combo); stay safe, everyone in japan!

That airship is very nice. I am very iffy on the Reaper ship, as it is maybe too big
That is my trepidation about that ship as well. I mean the Barge is pretty heavy as is, and something a LOT larger by all accounts would be real heavy and perhaps a bit unwieldy to move about or store/display.

Quite cool paint job. I would change the color of the tusks into something brighter. Maybe gold as well?
I could do that, I do love my bling

Ill look at my collection of paint. You can see them in the background of the pics, i have a lot of Reaper and Vallejo paints. Two rack on the wardrobe and another on the wall by the door.

I started wishing Reaper would buy their sculptors rulers long ago.

I am ok with minis of varying heights but sometimes it looks wrong.
I guess a ruler is quite expensive
I use sometimes anyway 32mm figures (have a lot of heroscape stuff) but I was not aware of the different scale.

Funny thing. If you compare the wizkids horse to the bones mule you thing the mule is at most an iceland pony. (There we have the opposite size difference between wizkids and reaper miniatures)

They do tend to have crazy scales on things. Like the elephant I posted. I had not idea he was so big, but a hut in the same set turned out to be basically a pup tent, instead of a home like everyone though.
