I'm also from Ottawa, so I've given up on having them ship to me in Canada and just go pick it up in Ogdensburg NY. The saving thus far have been massive. The fee is $5 USD per package at the Kinek point, and then its about $10 CAD to cross the bridge and get home, beyond its your time and gas. Added bonus that you get your stuff in KS and what not when US backers get it which has been much sooner too!

I used iParcel already three times. I like it.
In my country it’s always a hit not a miss. Therefore I can not gamble.
Concerning delivery time it is as fast as with usps but you don‘t need to go to the custom office and pay all the tax and duty.

I recommend you to give it a try if you are willing to accept the costs for the service.

I saw the same Iwhatver option for Japan shipping and it was cheaper. Not sure what it really means though, sorry. No experience with Canada shipping

New options for Canadian shipping

Post by Syrian23 » Fri Sep 27, 2019 6:59 pm

Hi All.

I just wanted to get a clear understanding of the newer shipping options and was hoping someone had the answers.

I just bought $380(US) in the store.

I normally go with USPS and hope I get through without the duty... It's hit or miss.
In this case it was: USPS Priority Mail International (6 to 10 business days) $ 81.25
UPS and FedEx are normally off the table because of their mandatory (Excessive!) duty and ridiculous brokerage fees.

But now they have these:
UPS Saver (Duties and Tax included: Tax: 0.50 - Duty: 0 - Shipping: 79.44) $ 89.94
UPS i-parcel - Select (Duties and Tax included:Tax: 49.53 - Duty: 0 - Shipping: 35.75) $ 95.28
Do these really cover All the Canadian tax/duties? I'm skeptical so I didn't try them.

and this one as well... Not sure about the difference between it and normal USPS priority Int.
USPS Intl Priority (P79) $ 96.00

Any help is greatly appreciated!
