Brush strokes on the Wall of Force, if done in a circle, would I think make the WoF look BETTER. Thank you for posting and suggesting the method. Amaterus like me can use instruction (weasels don't paint much - brushes too big for our paws)

Hi Astolat,

Thanks for the link.
I like the textured Orb a lot.
Might even be a map of the whole world, if it is a ball instead of a disc. :?:

Being late to the party is sometimes helpful.
I decided to wait to paint the cluster crystal and try to match them with my KS 6 crystal cavern encounter.

Sidenote:
I have an unpainted KS 2 mushroom set as well.
I‘m curios if I can match them at least a little bit with the KS 6 mushroom paint scheme.
I hope we get a tutorial video for the mushrooms, too.
I also like the orb. 8-)

I hope we get a tutorial video for the mushrooms, too. :!: :!: :!:

I had many struggles trying to get the orb on the color-changing column to have smooth transparent color. :P Here's the long version:

viewtopic.php?f=48&t=8621&hilit=dip#p120583

the tl;dr version is, mix a thin wash of vallejo game inks and dip the dwarvenite into the wash, remove excess, and let dry between several layers until you get the color you want.

I tried a floor wax wash.I would have had better control if I dry brushed the swirls white first. I wanted to use the DF brand paint. I should have used another drop of water. It was a first try. It looks ok on the table.

The floor wax is best if you want a gloss custom color.Matt medium is better for flat.

This is yellow and red gallery glass finish.
There are so many ways to do this, I want to see a video.
I have several sets of professional blended washes They are nice. But I often need a 750ml.It helps to have mat medium.

The blue flame can now double as a water spout as well. These look great!
