Thanks for the info. I do agree they probably need to be handled with a bit more care, but glad they should be pretty sturdy.

Really 8-) 8-) 8-)

I wish I would have bought two extra bank Sets to try what you did.

What material did you use for the moss and other plants? Greenstuff?
Thanks.

For these and my Forest mods I used Procreate, but Green Stuff/Kneadatite or any other two part epoxy should work. I’ve used GS on my cavern water/river mods and it worked fine. Just be sure to have a rough surface or nooks/holes, crevices to help adhesion.

Getting better and better.

I was wondering, how well does this all stick together? Will it last a long time or do you have to be very careful the moss and sticks do not fall off the dwarvenite?
Thanks.

The “foliage” is Procreate, a two part sculpting epoxy putty. It sticks pretty well, and I try to make sure the surface underneath each area is rough, and I’m using folds, corners, etc., to gain maximum traction on “orthogonal-type” surfaces.

Sticks are embedded in the procreate, and I try to wrap around moss over/around them to give additional support.

The hot glue is pretty sticky, and being mostly down in the cracks, it should be ok.

Time will tell on the durability, but I’ll handle these like my resin, and being flat they should store easily.

More banks...

These two sets have some gnarly roots added. Used a hot glue gun to lay it down, then edge of nozzle to rough it up a bit. Next set will get some smoother green vines mixed in.

I agree. It would be nice to have pluggable components on the 6x6 tiles, but I’m guessing with weight of trees it would be tough stability-wise. Now, if it was “ground level” items, that would be easier. There’s a balance of design, beauty, modularity, etc. that has been talked about - Nina mentioned it on twitch last night. Roots and trunks are a significant issue in that regard.

It would have been great to have a flat water hole or some such, under the rock piles, and have one or more pieces to swap out pop on/off as desired. Kind of like what Nat has been doing with that cente cutout on the big foam piece he’s been demoing on twitch.

And some 6x6 mods in the works...

One of the things than many of your mods make me wonder, is if DF were to make all the tree stumps and their roots as separate peices that were snapped in and glue at the factory could they take a 6"x6" piece and get 2 or 3 different versions of it by having some with all the trees, some with a tree and an extra rock, some with different tree stumps or just rocks.
