Wouldn't basalt columns be more properly part of a KS2 expansion? Not saying that they can't do it now, but I don't see it expanding a "dungeon of doom" environment per se.
I'm not pushing for this KS, I would prefer KS-7 or 8.

She's got some beautiful shots in there.
Visiting Iceland was always a hope of mine.

My Chromecast loops through photos when it's not being cast to, and this popped up while I was reading the forum posts :

Then I found this other one from her, which shows some very cool curved basalt formations:

Fortunately, the photos that pop up are tagged with the photographer's name, so I was able to look her up.

I guess I should at least log into my wife's FB account every so often to catch up on these things.
Many thanks AnimeSensei.

I think they are just for the map, but who knows? I -highly- doubt Stefan would do basalt columns without including you in the process, William. :) Here's the full post.

Thanks for posting this one Jackattack, I missed your thread back in 2014.
Why not both Crystals and Basalt in same KS?

I too would be wildly enthused to see a basalt column cavern treatment.

Here's another old thread about basalt columns, unfortunately with(out?) a lot of lost photos.

I'll have to say-
I sure hope it doesn't have all same size six sided columns, because in nature they have different sizes and various number of sides to each column. Also, making them work in a 2x2 or 4x4 square patern is tough to do.

If they only have one diameter it'll look to much like a hexagon grid and not as natural.
I have seen a few systems that are too toy-looking for me, like this one.

This look would be disappointing, but I know Stefan will do a great job making them look natural.
