Welcome to the forums, Papa_Stevie!

I know DF has said that if people weren't happy with the paint scheme of the normal set, they could contact DF for a resolution. If you don't find someone here, maybe you could email chuck@dwarvenforge.com and offer to pay the difference and see if they can do it?
Thank you for the suggestion and the welcome! So, I actually got the Jade set in the KS and have been really enjoying it. This set is actually the prize set from the live-stream they did with D&D Beyond and I was very fortunate to win it. I was given a choice and asked for a Jade set to match my existing set, but I ended up receiving the regular paint scheme by mistake. It is a tremendous gift to receive and I think the world of the DF team, but I felt that it'd be unappreciative to ask that they swap it out. I'm 99% sure that they would too, but I like to try and give back some of the love that they show us. I had a big DoD order and there were a couple of mispacked things and missing stretch goals, but I made a personal choice not to follow up on that. A drop in the bucket, but hopefully one that allows them to better help someone else who's order needed it more. I digress, but I mean, can I really complain that the $500 set they gave and mailed to me for free isn't the right paint scheme? I'm honestly a little embarrassed to post that I'm trying to trade it for a Jade set as it is haha. Hopefully they forgive me and they did fulfill a request of mine in an amazing way by sending me a signed DoD floor prototype, which is a true treasure. So, zero complaints as they've already gone above and beyond. Who couldn't just keep going on and on about how much they love the DF Team, am I right?

Shrine of Sysuul Trades

Post by Papa_Stevie » Fri Sep 21, 2018 12:29 pm

Hey, I've got a still sealed, painted Shrine of Sysuul full encounter set (no magnets) and would like to trade it for a painted "Jade" Shrine of Sysuul full encounter set (magnets or not). Happy to find a way to work out the difference in price, maybe done through shipping costs. My set is sealed, so no partial trades at this time. Located in Montana, USA.

I suspect I would be happy to trade a few jade pieces for a few non-jade temple pieces. Especially a few brazier corners.

Won’t know for sure until I see them, of course.
Hi Riley - pinging you here since I'm never 100% sure my PMs get through. Please shoot me a PM one way or the other.

Bumping this thread for visibility.
Still looking to trade some items, as listed in the 2nd post in the thread.

Sure.
I suppose everyone has fond memories of the first module they played as a youth. Most people seem to go back to B2: The Keep on the Borderlands, and the 'Caves of Chaos' inside. For me, B1: In Search of the Unknown brings back the wonders of my earliest dungeon delving. If you haven't played it...
Oh, shit! Caves of Chaos was my first. The memories you just brought back! Sadly, some of the people I played with are no longer living. But the trip back in time you provided me with just those few words was priceless!
The wonders, adventures, and life long friendships of gaming!

What comparison? :?
I was just giving a tip on how to make the room desired.
Me thinks, trying to buy (14) Chamber of Sorrows Sets would be much more costly. ;)
Of course, it would cost a lot more. You're right.

And it is an option. I just had never heard of them before and was shocked at how bad the quality seemed to be in the picture.

I have some tiny furniture stumps, very high quality and easy to paint. DF paint was a good basecoat even with no washing.
A pretty decent Docent of Valoria

Legenary Realms and DF are in two totally different worlds. It's like professional sports vs college sports. Or Ruth's Criss vs Sizzler. Or Dwarven Forge vs. Legendary Realms. ;)

Personally I don't own their stuff because it hasn't impressed me much. I've almost bought their rafts and tree stumps, but their pictures ALWAYS show mold defects with bubbles. Now I'll just (easily) wait for my bridge from KS6 to come and I'll have my rafts. I think I'll get my tree stumps from Tiny Furniture.
