I didn't know about the glue issue when I got 'em, but they were so cheap I would have anyway. A few are nice.

And only the deciduous ones need gluing. The pines (another 6-8) are fine without glue.

I think I will stick to less high-maintenance trees.

Those Schleich trees are very nice.
Since we play mostly in 15mm (we do switch back and forth depending on the set available) the Schleich trees make wonderful giant trees. And a 15mm fig can in fact perch in them. I got about 6-8 really cheap when a local store stopped carrying them. And that's enough giants to work for me. Tho' expensive, theyare great - but you have to glue 'em together or they 'shed' leaf clusters on any excuse!

The other trees i really like from a kid-proof and similar durability to DF are th schleich trees.

Unfortunately they cost a bit by the time people are willing to post here. But they look great.

Thesre is a DF fan on YouTube that has done a couple v.neat videos on his builds. In this one he has some resin trees in the opening scene there is one on on the bottom right hand of the screen... does anyone know what make these might be? They look like they have a good texture.

Thanks oddbender, yes that is them. Think they look great and wont drop bits of flock everywhere... this is how i imagine DF could make one style of dwarvenite trees.

Do you own any of these?

Oh no its definitely summer here in the warren, that's why all the Winter trees are packed away :)
Ye Bun Rabs actually got nosy in a closet in the landowner's house and ended up in Narnia....of course the annoying critters dug a tunnel out! So hard on the plants....
