The floors and the lower portions of the sewer walls have a glossy dark green paint, or maybe a varnish layer, that is unlike anything used on any other DF dwarvenite pieces I have come across.

I haven’t had any problems with paint wear, but I have hardly used my sewers.

Problems with paint wear

I've noticed serious paint wear on my sewer walls - from being in bins, at the corners the pieces are scratched and meaningful amounts of paint have scraped off. It's frustrating when pieces that are supposed to be durable experience this kind of thing - one reason I paused before backing KS1 was my concern over how durable Dwarvenite would be. No, it wouldn't break - but would the paint scratch off? Would it warp? Would it handle summer heat in a car? That was my fear. And I've noticed some scratches on my KS1 floors too. But nothing compared to the wear on my sewer walls.

I hope DF watches this issue.
