I would swap out the Heavy Forest pack for Small Trees and change the Encounter 1 Core to a Crooked Caverns pack. Take the savings by moving to Crooked Caverns to buy a Scatter Terrain pack. Then choose either another Scatter Terrain or the Cave Mouth pack. Your original pledge has spots for five trees but you only have two trees in the pledge. This will give you more trees and flexibility for not much more $. And you don’t need the $10 BYOC.
If you go for the Cave Mouth you now get a free large gnarled tree leaving 1 small stump.
Note: 1 Large and 1 Small tree packs give you enough trees for all your stumps in Two Scatter terrain packs.

does dropping the BYOC work for the starter cavern ice version as well?
It doesn't yet, but it might in the pledge manager.
Unless I specifically state that my information is directly from Valoria, my comments are just my own opinions.

I _might_ consider adding escarpments from dread hallow for a bit of mountainous feel. (Especially if they add the half-size escarpment pack in the PM a they've been discussing). I might consider dropping the boat & docks to make room in a budget in that case (if for your normal campaigns mountains are more common that boat/dock encounters)

Are there any sets that seem to be more versatile for combat taking place in caverns. dungeons, outside, and mountainside?

Hey there, you can drop the BYOC for $10 as you have the cavern starter entry pledge already. (get a mimic pack instead :))
Oh, thank you!

First time Kickstarter backer looking for advice

Hey everyone, sorry to post another one of these threads but I just wanted to get a second opinion on my choices, or possible choices, for my pledge.

Besides the dungeon starter set, I currently have no other dwarven forge tiles in my possession. So my mindset going into this kickstarter was to purchase things more for versatility and multiple uses. Right now the possible choices I was thinking of purchasing came out as a total of $886.

Main Pledge:
1 X Build Your Own Cavern ($10)
1 X Caverns Starter - Hand Painted ($76)

All types of Addons:
1 X Encounter 6 - Covert Warcamp - Hand Painted ($207)
1 X Summoning Chamber - Core Pack (Encounter 1) - Hand Painted ($78)
1 X Dreadhollow - Heavy Forest Pack - Hand Painted ($79)
1 X Dreadhollow - Large Tree Pack - Hand Painted ($67)
1 X Dungeon Ruins Pack - Hand Painted ($65)
1 X Passage Transition Pack - Hand Painted ($55)
1 X Passages Pack - Hand Painted ($40)
1 X Cave Water Multi Pack - Terrain Trays - Hand Painted ($56)
1 X Dock Pack - Hand Painted ($52)
1 X Rowboat Pack - Hand Painted ($63)
1 X Stone Banks Packs - Hand Painted ($38)

I preferred to keep my budget around 600 to 700 range with painted items only. Are there addons that would prove to be more versatile compared to ones that I mentioned? Or are there ones that I could take away?
