Re: FOUND THE TILE SYSTEM PHOTOS TO DF SETS

It would be really nice if DF partnered with some map program to make a real full-featured DF mapping tool that included all the past and current set, and supported negative space and stacked/elevated builds for the kind of stuff we do in the real world. I'd pay $30-70 for something like that depend...

Re: Did Caverns Deep really have the basic needs?

Even now I find it confusing how the encounter, adventure essentials, core, and adventure packs relate to each other. It's just hard to know how best to allocate resources (e.g. MONEY).

Re: Bones V

I have to say, I'm finding Bones V to be less interesting than previous Bones KS.

To play devil's advocate to your devils advocate, I doubt many kids are inspired and thrilled to play an RPG set in a hamburger kingdom.
I know mine wouldn't, but seeing what interests some adults might make a kid RPG set in a hamburger kingdom almost Shakespearian. ;)
Fair point!

CR has donated all the money from the sponsorship to Farmworker Justice, which I think was a classy and smart response.
Agreed.

I'm getting some stuff at some point. That's as specific as I've been able to nail down.

Re: Wendy's Releases TTRPG - Feast of Legends

To play devils advocate, a Wendy's ad campaign may be a vehicle for some kids to actually get to play RPGs verses just watching them or knowing about them from watching Stranger Things. To play devil's advocate to your devils advocate, I doubt many kids are inspired and thrilled to play an RPG set ...

Re: Wendy's Releases TTRPG - Feast of Legends

I have only ever watched four episodes of Critical Role but I already considered it part business/part hobby and not just hobby. Of course it has always been a business, it was bankrolled by Felicia Day and the Geek & Sundry channel. But the CR cast always said from day one that it was about the ga...

Re: Wendy's Releases TTRPG - Feast of Legends

I want to hate this. I think the rpg renaissance may have just jumped the shark. On the flip-side a whole lot of fantasy artwork was commissioned and folks got paid to draw, game designers got paid to do what they love... there are a ton of rpgs out there, many of them are forgettable - whats one m...

Re: Wendy's Releases TTRPG - Feast of Legends

I was a bit sad to see Critical Role turn a one shot stream into a literal three hour Wendy's advertisement. I understand CR is getting huge and corporate sponsorship is going to be a big thing for them, but they have to balance the money pouring in with maintaining their core brand. Matt Mercer loo...
