Resin Paint Quality
With the price point of the resin pieces over $100 each, do these pieces have a higher level of paint detail and quality than the average Dwarvenite paint job?

Re: Puzzle Room Floors - Question and Point
You need a good guide, like a mitre box. Maybe a saw to use with the mitre.

Re: Questions on sculpting vs paint schemes in set differences
Welcome! As marcoreds states, the paint scheme is the only thing differentiating pieces with the same name; the icicles are just cavern flowstone with an icy paint job. (Which is fine, sine the drip-and-solidify process behind both is similar.) I plan on getting an unpainted Ice Catacombs Adventure ...

Re: Painted "unpainted" Jade pillars ???
The pictures of the painted jade pillars from GenCon aren't stupendously bad. Disappointing a little, but not horrible. Now I'm conflicted; I really wanted jade pillars. Do I keep imperfect pillars and paint them to hide their worst defects, or do I try to get them switched out for plain so I can pa...

Re: Painted "unpainted" Jade pillars ???
Taken from Stefan's FB page. From what little you can see the set does look nice just can't tell about the pillars. The pieces actually cast in jade Dwarvenite look spectacular to my amateur mineralogist's eye. I'm glad I got the set in jade, just disappointed in the painted pillars that I ordered ...

Re: Painted "unpainted" Jade pillars ???
The jade looks nice. I am glad I did not get it. It is not the look I want. The unpainted jade pillar is an interesting problem. I bet it will paint up well. The clear clear plastic has a lot of possibilities. I wonder how hard it would be to remove the paint. Flaming red with an LED. How do you pl...

Re: Painted "unpainted" Jade pillars ???
Here's a side-by-side of an unpainted jade wall next to a pillar. https://photos.app.goo.gl/Yiu24hCQbWYbXp6N9 The difference in color isn't astounding when the pieces are against a background, but they're really brought out when light passes through the jade parts. The wall is creamy, the pillar loo...

Re: Painted "unpainted" Jade pillars ???
I think if I were getting painted I'd ask for marble replacements. As it is I'll ask for gray unpainted replacements for both my Shrine pillars and the add-on set. It will give me enough pillars to do my sandstone scheme, or maybe I'll try for white marble...

Re: Painted "unpainted" Jade pillars ???
I really really wanted jade pillars, but if they can't replace them with the real stuff I think I'll have to get extra plain pillars and try for white marble instead.
