Re: VAT and import fees

Germany: Got a parcel from customs, yesterday. They charge 19% taxes (always) and depending on their mood (or so it seems) they have custom fees from 0% to 4%. It may be good to categorize the DF-pieces as "Modellbau" (modelmaking) parts, rather than calling them plastic toys, because there seems to...

Re: Whats your Guilty Pledge pleasure or budget buster?

I must say I feel most guilty about the Dwarven Forge. I have another great forge already. I really do not need two. But then, how can I not buy a set with that name! Also: I decided to get the entire encounter five (plus an extra set of ruins), even though I do not need some of the core pieces. For...

Re: How many Forest banks are you getting?

Actually it is 2.5x3 feet. The large squares are 6"x6". I used 6 bank packs and those were not enough, obviously. In the upper right part, there is a mistake, though. I squeezed two 2" deep banks into a 3"x3" square. In real life they would overlap. Still, I think that doesn't make the impression le...

Re: How many Forest banks are you getting?

I wanted to go with 4 to 6 packs. But then I built a prototype with 6, trying to build a 3x3 feet swamp landscape. I figured that 6 is not at all enough. I will need at least 8 packs. Here the photo of the prototype with 6 packs: [img]https://www.rpg-foren.com/attachments/img_20181027_163010-jpg.697...

I supported their last KS and can fully recommend them. Tim Prow's sculpts are all beautiful and communication with him is always nice an uncomplicated as well.

I totally agree with kitenerd.additionally

3) very easy to set up for basic builds from which you can then improve by mixing KS6 in.

Re: Everything We Want for KSVII - Continuation of Dreadhollow

Oh please! Not too many Paintjobs for the same pieces. I think the current mountain paint plus some ice trays are good enough for icy environments. If I need different pieces for every build, the advantages of modularity get lost. And storage would be horrible, either. I would rather have more oppor...

Re: What add-ons in the PM have you committed to?

I think with just essentials 1-3 and a floor pack, banks, bridge and negative space you will cover a lot of floor but will be lacking walls and corners. If I were you I would leave the floor pack away and buy some basic KS2 caverns instead. Don't underestimate the versatility of those very basic pie...
