Re: How should DF use tracks for Dwarvenite mines?
I'm a big BIG proponent of separate mine tracks, not being integrated into the pieces. I want lots of mining areas that aren't riddled with tracks, and the ability to use tracks sometimes.

Re: NEW DF "Kickstarter/GameFound" announced for SciFi
I like the small size and return to KS1-roots feel. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the aesthetics of this one much. The sculpts are ok (so thick; I wonder if they had to make them so thick to have them serve as exterior when reversed?), but I don't like the paint scheme (especially the brass/gold l...

Re: Did Lowtown have a rockstar piece?
As much as i am not a fan of the Woodpecker holes... i think the IVY is another such piece... Silly simple things like this TOTALLY change the feel of a structure and set a tone... the little piles of rock from a previous KS get used all the time by me to create the illusion of disrepair without be...

Re: Gamefound forum?
One word in your post jumped out at me and that was chatter. That is what I find I dislike about most of the more social media-based text interfaces is that there is not really what I consider discussions, but more just chatter. Not unlike the comments sections on KS or even GF. Not as much give an...

Re: Harborrabbits' Hut
A fair amount of folks over on Discord had been flaming against KS3; saying that it was obsolete, blocky etc. Those comments have been the most confusing part of this KS for me. KS8 and KS3 are totally different styles and don't overlap at all except for (arguably) the basic 4x4 wood floor. How can...

Re: What are you hoping to see in KS9: Hightown
Absolutely, love the BoV for entrances.
I am hoping to find a way with Low and High town to connect two BoV's cross sectionally too. I haven't looked closely enough yet.

Re: A lesson not learned
I suspect that enterprising individuals who really wanted fancy facades could probably 3D print some nice ones, and replace them as they break.

Re: Share your pledge
I came late to the party, and didn't start looking at anything until June 1. So, I'm sure I missed something. But... I wanted to be able to lend new and fun variations to my cities and castles as the primary motivator. 1x District (Painted) - District - Downtown Dockside (Painted) (reward) 1x Distri...

Re: Any last minute changes?
I didn't start looking at this until June 1 this year, so ALL of my additions were last minute changes. I'm sure I missed something. I feel like I've always done a good job of getting everything I've wanted and I have not ever had to order extra parts. But... I'm not confident on that this year. Thi...

Re: A lesson not learned
I would offer that comments like these can be very useful to the creators to gain a better understanding of the interests and motivations of some backers. While sometimes design decisions might have to be made based on very unrelated issues, other times they were made due to choices being selected....
