Re: A lesson not learned
My Thieves Guild aspires to the one in this KS, they operate out of the slum next to Lowtown and considers the businesses in Lowtown good divestment opportunities. They would only be caught dead in High Town. I too would like to have seen a lot more ramshackle and less glitz. Things like: - 12x12 d...

Re: Banister Corner Post
I used MinWax oil varnish/stain as a dip for over a thousand 28mm LOTR figures. I recall it was the Walnut color, but I'd have to verify. Block paint, maybe one highlight, sometimes a light drybrush, and then the dip. Worked great. I can also paint up any of your DF gribblies. Been painting minis an...

Re: Which would you choose: narrow platform or regular
FWIW, per Nate in the video walkthrough the narrow platforms are 1.25", not 1". He stated specifically that "25 and 32mm bases should fit".Rabbit Burner wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 12:12 pm With Hex on this one. 2" makes gameplay much easier when adding railings.
25/32 mm bases will struggle on the 1".

Using a base coat of vallejo grey surface primer, which doubles as a whitish mortar: https://i.imgur.com/gFo7JeT.jpg Any updates pacarat? This looks great and I would love to see how this paint scheme came together in a complete tower (or castle?!?!). I'm still agonizing over the paint scheme that ...

Re: 4Ground going out of business sale
Sad to see. Rationale for closing is much increased costs of materials and utilities.
I have a pallet full of kits already, but will probably grab a couple or two (dozen?) odds and ends.

Re: Open forest thoughts and a question for scatter users
Not having a POFSBS (plain old flat six by six) was a huge miss. Sure you can put the 3x3 and 3x6 together, but then that takes them out of play for other tighter areas where a 6x6 won’t fit. I modded a few of my 6x6 to remove some stumps and rocks to allow for more open usable flat space. I bought...
