Re: What‘s your first impression of the new battleboards?
I don't see the point of these. If they're based on some kind of plastic....why not just make a sculpted floor tile? That's the entire draw of DF, right? Sculpted terrain? That's the primary reason people pay a premium for it. If I wanted flat printed terrain, I'd pull out my card board tiles (or e...

Re: 4d Terrain from Wizkids no serious competition for Dwarven Forge!
If I'm not wrong, OpenLock is from PrintableScenery and DragonLock is from Fat Dragon Games. Both clips systems came out around the same time and compete with each other. I'm pretty sure both systems require products that use their system to properly license them (I know OpenLock has an extensive se...

Re: Bones V
Who needs cannons? I would have a wizard hiding at those gunports throwing fireballs and what not as needed. Same function, different "tech." Guns will be more reliable and will keep firing as long as there is crew and ammunition, wizards are a little more pernickety, needing to concentra...

For those of you that do the 3D printing thing, EC3D has another quick set of STLs that seem fun, themed around a mysterious traveling camp that harbors a dark secret. It's pay what you want ($5 minimum), and 40% goes to charity. :) https://fundrazr.com/ec3d-treasure-chest-volume-2?ref=ab_d8b4b5_ab_...

Digital Swamp Map
Since my group is playing on Roll20 until we can meet in person again and use fun 3D terrain, I made a map for an encounter in our next session. I thought I'd share in case anyone else needs a swamp, magical or otherwise. I made a few versions: day/night/night with magical glowy stuff in the water, ...

Re: KS: Texture rolling pins for wargames
I have several of their rolling pins. I've only used them on foam, but they are pretty great!Rabbit Burner wrote: ↑Tue May 12, 2020 12:45 pm GreenStuff World sell a bunch of these.
We buy from them a fair bit, just not their textured rolling pins

Re: KS7 Wildlands IMAGES COMPILED
If they are committed to changing the factory paint scheme for forests and swamps, then at the VERY least DF should provide a painting guide about how to modify the new paint job to closer match the old one, using Pokorny paints. They've did release painting videos for Dreadhollow. I'm sure they co...

Re: Hurray, the Dreadhollow Forest paint scheme from KS is now a limited edition..
Judging by the comparison pictures, my guess is it was just way too many steps for the factory. They likely said it would cost more in the future to do that much detail, so they had to simplify the scheme.
