Masters and Minions monster modules designed for DF!

Yep, the module map is for the floor set lava pit setup we showed in the tournament thread. The maps were done by Sang Lee, the illustrator for both books. He worked from digital camera pictures of the tournament layouts and created the maps using Photoshop and elbow grease, I believe. More about th...

Masters and Minions monster modules designed for DF!

<t>Masters and Minions is an expansion for existing worlds; it's designed to be useful for any game that has stirges or minotaurs in it, just like the classic dungeon modules were useful for any game that involved descending into holes in the ground with torches and iron rations! We've put in some s...

Masters and Minions monster modules designed for DF!

Here's a sample of the text from Horde Book 1 describing the lair. We're releasing each book as both a print and PDF edition. Owners of the print edition can download the electronic PDF for free, because although we love books and are glad to be in the business of making them, we think PDFs have lot...

Masters and Minions monster modules designed for DF!

I'm proud to say that Behemoth3 ’s Masters and Minions series is designed for use with Master Maze, and that the first two Horde Books will be released at Gen Con on August 19th! Each Horde Book is a “monster module dedicated to one of the monsters that made roleplaying great. Ou...

Masters and Minions Tournament Playtest (Floor Set Protos!)

<t>I got plenty of useful / critical comments as well, but mostly from the folks in my regular group who know me (and my weaknesses) already -- these responses were especially encouraging because they were players who we recruited just for the playtest.<br/> <br/> The minotaur figure with the bloody...

Masters and Minions Tournament Playtest (Floor Set Protos!)

<r>Here's a picture of the minotaur maze, looking down the stairs towards the tomb -- it's so cool-looking I haven't seen a party yet who's been able to resist opening it, even when they *know* something bad is likely to happen as a result!<br/> <br/> This was a picture we set up ahead of time, not ...

Masters and Minions Tournament Playtest (Floor Set Protos!)

MyLordVoid, The miniatures we used in the playtest were a mix of Stefan's and mine. He hand-painted his (the rat, the xorn, the dwarven fighter); some I noticed were Ral Partha, dunno about the others. Since I'm not much with a paintbrush, mine (the monk, the shadow, the other heroes in the hall) ar...

Masters and Minions Tournament Playtest (Floor Set Protos!)

Here's the first of a series of pictures from the test run of Behemoth3 's Masters and Minions tournament. This is from Round 1 of the tournament, devoted to the Stirge Horde. Here, the heroes are in a stirge breeding facility encountering some of the new monsters from the Masters and Minions series...
