That is a good thing for me. :)

Re: Leave no bean behind...

BEANS! From the 5/25 OTA (and the email update from around the same time)... Some really beautiful things here. But, please DF, do not have a knot on EVERY post. That type of repetitiveness is much worse than having a simple non-descript post. Even if you make inserts for the knots/hole and things ...

Re: Would you sacrifice modularity/versatility for size and beauty?

As for the trees, making them all modular like the DH trees isn't really a big deal IMO. While it can be useful to a point, for me the best things about trees is having a selection of tree types over the ability to reassemble a single tree. In many DH builds, most probably don't notice if a given t...

Re: Would you sacrifice modularity/versatility for size and beauty?

I forgot to mention that I ended up with something like 11 Stairway to Violence bottoms and 8 tops (or vice versa?).

Big showcase pieces should NEVER be packaged with anything except for themselves IMO.

Re: Would you sacrifice modularity/versatility for size and beauty?

I think there can be a happy balance, but I worry DF is going too far into the "beauty shots." I like bigger floor tiles, but only because we have some small ones too. I really like KS6 trees more than KS7 trees because of their modularity... I can do what I want instead of just do what DF...

Re: KS6 v KS7 escarpments

I'd love to have more KS6 forest tiles. 1) We need ones with a 3D stream running through it. 2) We need more KS6 style escarpments (everything is so boxy). I want to talk about this for a second. This "boxy"ness seems to be the epitome of what I was talking about earlier this week or last ...

Re: KS6 v KS7 escarpments

I agree with your take generally, Law. But I'll note that I do think that the forest banks on top of the plain/boring KS7 escarpments just look bad. It is too much of a shift/change, especially when they overhang. Maybe for mountains the new KS7 escarpments will be good, I haven't had the chance to ...

Re: Cities. . . and then?

Agreed Zenako. From a fan perspective, it is absolutely the next step I want to see.

3D roads and rivers, with farmland/villages, entrances to caves and caverns, remote forts and camps, maybe a small expansion to castles.

Re: Cities. . . and then?

First -- how interested would I be in a brand new setting? Second -- how interested would I be in an expansion to an existing setting? I'm very interested in new settings; as you have highlighted, it is highly dependent on "what" settings and the way they do it. Also, what you mean by &qu...

Was coming here to say this.

And... I'll post separately in response to Law's many interesting points :)
