Clear clear clear! I can’t envision natural looking lava without then doing it clear. And they’ve shown that they have the ability to do it with the crystal caverns stuff.
I’m hoping for a some pieces that might be paintable as waterfall type pieces.

Re: Kickstarter 6.66
Lava tubes would be cool, but I think you’d need so much if it that it would be cumbersome. I think it’s much more likely that we get some cool feature pieces and repaints of existing CD pieces. It will be another mini environment a la crystal caverns or floating rocks.

Re: Kickstarter 6.66
I want exploding subterranean volcanoes and pieces like crystal caverns but with lava flow instead of crystals. You can use whatever dressing you want to make it look “hellish”, but clear pieces with LEDs is the only way you are going to get a true lava look that doesn’t have the appearance of queso.

Re: Kickstarter 6.66
The $666 number all in sounds like the sweet spot. Some people will go nuts and double or even triple up, but if they are going for a smaller scale with this KS how can they miss that obvious price point.

@Oldent
I like the way the gallery glass looks as paint enough to pick up the assortment pack. I have a bunch of clear plastic for the LED effects that need this type of coloring. Thanks for demoing!

Re: Kickstarter 6.66
Oldent, do you ever use the gallery glass paint on clear LED accessories? How does it work?

Re: KS1 Drybrush/Repaint
The drybrush on KS5 definitely feels more yellowish. I’ve been searching for the referenced video and coming up blank. Anyone got the link?

Re: Kickstarter 6.66
Clear PVC would be great. Could allow for repaints as water or ice tiles.

Re: when will alleys and alley intersections restock?
Wasn’t there an issue with the alley intersections and them being slightly different scale?

Re: Kickstarter 6.66
The lava stuff probably would look good with a few large pieces with leds supported by some smaller more versatile pieces. Is the old hellscape stuff just lava or “hellish”?
