Re: Wizkids Adventurer’s Camp Case

Oh man, that looks awesome! I wonder what they mean by "Case Insentive." Sounds like a limited edition promo, which is a shame. Everyone should have one of these! It is limited sort of... basically the only way to pre-order it is to purchase a case of randomly packages miniatures. However...

Re: Suggestions to Keep Dwarven Forge Successful

I painted every bit of my first Dungeon Kickstarter... to get them comparable to the DF standard of painting it did take quite a bit of time, at least for me. I set up a mini-factory in living room and spent 4 solid months painting them. I used to paint miniatures competitively at conventions in my...

Re: Suggestions to Keep Dwarven Forge Successful

I'll third that. I still have KS1 pieces I've never used as they're waiting for paint. My pre-painted, ready-to-go items, however, are used weekly. Edit to add: Come to think of it, we used a box of the previously mentioned pre-painted open water tiles in a session last night! Meanwhile, the suppli...

Re: Suggestions to Keep Dwarven Forge Successful

Filling the holes in floors is fairly easy with foam or clay. No real crafting skills? Run to the fabric store and buy some tapestry ribbon. Cut to length, fray the ends a bit, instant rug! No painting required. Or try cutting a piece of foam to fit the hole. Cut a piece of thin cardboard (cereal b...

Re: Suggestions to Keep Dwarven Forge Successful

The open water pack was a great example of the DF community in action. People rallied around that idea, and showed DF that there was enough demand to warrant it. It's the only non-KS set I've ever ordered from DF. Both the unpainted and painted sets are sold out, so we obviously had a good idea. DF...

Re: Suggestions to Keep Dwarven Forge Successful

As much as I would like to not have to paint everything. I had to opt for the unpainted stuff just to save some money. I think unpainted might be the safer route, but I don't know his sales figures so I couldn't say for sure. I think anything that can be done to provide small things to sell at the $...

Re: Suggestions to Keep Dwarven Forge Successful

Well I don't know the state of their business. It seems they put a heavy burden on a KS being successful in raising far more than its actual goal. One of the best companies in the miniatures game is Reaper. Honestly someone from DF maybe should get in touch with them and get advice. As for productio...

Re: A Suggestion for the Kickstarter #5

I kind of wish they could sell stuff separately. I think if they had more items that cost $10 or so They might be able to do better. I think a large part is people just cant afford to dump $200-300+ all in 1 go. Like me I want more stone and wood floors but I don't want the one with the holes in the...
