Re: Improving on a near perfect KS

Also, I'm there with you guys who have an add on heavy pledge lined up (for what I can afford). Wanted to go Dungeon 2, but a Dungeon 1 with 5 or 6 add ons covers what I'd like better in terms of pieces. However, it also means that from 2.05m to 2.75m there are no further enhancements coming to such...

Re: Improving on a near perfect KS

I think it is telling that over a quarter of the backers have gone BYO, making it the single most popular pledge option. Obviously we have no way of knowing, but I imagine a substantial number of people at a Dungeon 1 are basically doing BYO and happen to want the Game Room. That said, it's also no...

Re: Purchase Advice for Returning Backer

I had originally been looking at a Dungeon 1 with a bunch of add ons. I later concluded that a Dungeon 2 with more limited add ons might actually be feasible, and then the mega packs landed and changed all my math. Here's what I'm pondering, all unpainted; 1) Dungeon 2 + Fanatic's Trove + Jade Pilla...

Re: Limited Edition and Stretch Goal Items

I still think "this is the same piece as any other, it just has a different paint job" is a bit of a stretch for "limited edition". Alternate material like the Jade pieces, or actual piece that can't be gotten anywhere else like the Gorgon? Totally understandable. "It has a ...

Re: Official KS5 "Trading" Thread.

This is a great idea.

*snip*

Ended up changing my tier to cover most of these bases, but I'm still interested in possibly snagging some extra bits if people have extras and want to work something out, like all the LED parts I see being mentioned.

Re: Limited Edition and Stretch Goal Items

They were asked in the comments yesterday about LED packs like those that were found in KS4 (mega packs, lesser packs, etc), but apparently those sold poorly during the pledge manager, so it seems we're not likely to get those again, which I find a bit baffling myself. I mean, if they're already mak...

Re: Limited Edition and Stretch Goal Items

The 'marble' sections are purely a paint job. It's only 'limited edition' in the sense that the factory will paint them up in a way that won't be available from Dwarven Forge on the web store later, but even with just some pics, you could do it yourself or have someone else take care of it. I'm cogn...

Re: Thought Excercise - Best Newbie Pledge

Careful, now. Using a re-shipper or a parcel receiving service does not mean you get to avoid paying duties and taxes. It all depends on whether you get a border agent who thinks it is worthwhile to do the paperwork. Likely you can get away with something around $200-300 declared value. Any more, a...

Re: Thought Excercise - Best Newbie Pledge

Take your bare bones pledge - add deadly corners and 2 large curved wall packs and you have a lot more versatility than you 2nd idea for about $75 less Thanks for taking the time to go over my comments and make a suggestion! I've punched your recommendation into the pledge calculator and one of the...

Re: Purchase Advice for Returning Backer

True, which makes it an interesting thought experiment for new and returning (low budget) backers, but also somewhat frustrating as it does feel like everything is a moving target for the majority of the campaign. Even knowing there was likely no way I could partake in Encounter 14 or 15, and much a...
